Where did you get this list?

Well, I have been collecting this information from day one of open beta. "Choose server" threads, poll threads, posts, etc. I'm not sure about Taiwanese and Hong Kong servers, but RP (Besaid), JP (Mysidia, Figaro and Cornelia), EU (Cornelia and Lindblum) and Oceanic (Gysahl) information is 100% accurate.

Actually Cornelia became unofficial EU server in 30 minutes after new server names became known (1st September). But after a few days JP decided that it will be their server too. And because of this most of EU decided to move to Lindblum.

If something becomes an unofficial server after 30 minutes that doesn't suggest many people have chosen it... I mean, I'm EU but I've heard nothing like this apart from the rumour of Cornelia when open beta began. Certainly heard nothing about Lindblum until now. I won't believe most of that list without sources though, same with the similar list I just pulled off Core.

- Penny Arcade: Wutai
- Role-Playing Coalition: Besaid
- Japanese players: Figaro and Mysidia
- Goon Squad from Something Awful: Figaro
- Oceanic: Gysahl
- Europe: Cornelia, Lindblum
- Core: Lindblum, Mysidia, Besaid
- Eorzeapedia: Trabia
- ZAM: Besaid
- Spanish speaking server: Besaid

I think people are just going to fan sites, looking at their server forums and seeing which are the most active and labelling the servers.

Also, I just got super lucky, went down to my Gamestop and asked if they had any copies of XIII, opened the drawer and saw none with the case, and was like damn. Checked the wall and had a code inside, and asked the guy if I could just have the slip of paper for free, and hes kind of like ehhhhh, so I said well if I bought one of the gut copies it wouldnt have the code anyway, and he agreed. Was still iffy about it being used though, but got home and applied it, and it worked.

So I have my 20 digit code for XIV now, is there a place I put it now, or later, or is it auto-linked?

Though, I didn't see threads about choosing ZAM and Eorzeapedia servers, so I decided not to include them, because this information wasn't confirmed. (Looks like Eorzeapedia serve is indeed Trabia).

P.S. A lot of people from Germany also decided to start on Lindblum. And Cornelia is mostly for UK people.

Randomly on the ffxiv .dat front, apparently there is a tool already to "resize" body parts a little on models, guess kuya could get his "bigger ass" hyuran if he actually could convince the guy to do it, although the dat modder prefers to make female nude mods/edits

Speaking of which, he's made a nudeish hyuran female mod now (on top of releasing smaller chest size adjusted miqo'te and striped panties)

Wonder which is next... elzen female or lalafell!? haha

Eorzeapedia is one of the only ones I've been able to verify lol. RPC too. Where did you get the Lindblum and Cornelia info? I'd like to check it out. I'm not going to any pre-FFVII server names because I've not played the games.

On just yourself, no, presumably to avoid self-spamming in a single fight to build mass points. On party members, yes, though, since its presumed that your party will, at some point, kill the mob. It'll build a fuck-ton of hate, though.
