I think I was just putting it in wrong. The 0/O's might have been messed up or something. This time around they gave you a sample showing you what characters were what. And it just worked. Got my code to put in at launch.

actually spanish people is splitted between Ghysal and Besaid. I think theres more people heading to Ghysal, but theres a one large community that wants to go to Besaid- Spanish speaking server: Besaid
does linking the ffxi account to the 14 one work the same as with the armband code? i.e. link it online and get a code to input on release date?
What's magic craftsmanship? Craftsmanship seems pretty self-explanatory.
Please forgive this question, as I am sure it has been answered before but I cant seem to find the post. Where do I obtain my new abilities? I am rank 4 marauder with only light swing. I have checked the ability menu but nothing is there. Again sorry for the requestion and thanks!
Thank you Gokulo, another repeat question if you dont mind. how do i go about obtaining my second basic attack "heavy swing" I remember reading that it was given from an npc or part of the starting quests or something.
yeah just do the stuff they tell you to do in the sin of color mission. check the journal
part of the beginning quest where you need to go run out and find the first aether and run back to that npc I think.
also... liking pug but some the lancer gear looks good... ;/ Wonder what some the other armor looks like... although I guess could just .dat swap the gear around!
Spoiler: show
Yup, you always get the second ability once you advance the mission to the point where you have to go touch the first aetheryte crystal, then come back and talk to the questgiver again.
Definitely. Surely people can see in the bazaar if an item isn't at 100% and reflect that in the price they're willing to pay.
So my research on Carpentary concludes that in order to play the class effectively I will also need to level Alchemy, Smithing, Goldsmithing, Armorer and a little Weaving and Leather. May as well just level everything because by the time I've levelled the first five I'll be wanting to make something with the others that will probably require more Weaving and Leather. Or hope I can find materials in the wards. I can see people with a lot of time getting way ahead with crafting.
I dont really understand what I did wrong here... I talked to Bango Zango for a smithing leve quest... completed 2 ingots, yet he says I havent. Wuddup?
thanks guys, got it! finally got my 5850 so today was my first day getting to play but ive been reading this thread for a while.
