What size are Alleya's breasts?
I heard psychology is a bullshit major and it gets you nowhere!
Let's not even get into the fact that the word psyche means spirit (science of the spirit? what?), but let's consider theories on psychology. There are basically all over the place. You have multiple theories that contradict eachother, yet are somehow all equally valid or not discredited enough to make anyone who believes in them a laughing stock. What you have is psychologists proposing a multitude of theories that barely ever get properly tested in sufficient rigour, they are also not given proper follow up investigation as other psychologists with less seniority are too busy investigating the most inane and stupid of shit. It's like they've made it their raison d'etre to relegate themselves to confirming common sense knowledge rather than producing new knowledge or solving actual significant problems.
So you either have two extremes in psychology. Psychologists masturbating theories all over the place with barely any aplicability or any way to properly replicate them into practical investigation making them in essence inmune to being disproved. Or you have psychologists who just crap random disjointed facts all over the place that a five year old could tell you and give less of a shit about.
What a worthless field.
GOOD THING NEITHER OF THOSE ARE SCIENCES EITHER.
Kuya why do you try to hurt me when all I give you is love?

i am only 90% sure this thread is a troll
Then you don't know about at least 10% of Kuya.
I'm pretty sure you guys are making these percentages up
99% sure #'s isn't pretty sure
I believe Alleya. I mean, his avatar has glasses. People with glasses are smart. She also has a nice rack which kind of seals the deal.
And let's discuss the medical field in psychology.
Usually, when it comes to defining a disease, you have to make a pretty clear distinction between what a healthy state is and what a diseased or sick state is. Defining what constitutes the normal functioning of an organism, but you also have to have a concrete cause of said disease or otherwise you might just have yourself a fake disease.
Enter psychiatry.
How exactly do you define whether someone is mentally ill or not without a way to properly find the cause of said illness? Apparantly, if psychology is to be believed, you merely look for symptoms that, while they might be rigorous in appearance, leaves still the question of where the disease came from and how to cure it. So you have two issues: Not only do you have ambiguity as to whether something truly is a psychological disorder given that the cause cannot be determined due to, in part, the lack of concrete object of study of the psychology field in general, but you also have the field of psychiatry failing as a medical field in the strictest sense because it cannot effectively cure people of their supposed illnesses, but rather, make the symptoms disappear, if at all that.
So in essense you have psychiatry as a sign of the failure of the applicability of psychological knowledge due to its shoddy epistemological nature. So not only do you lack a concrete object of study, lack organized theoretical frameworks, have schitzophrenic use of methods, but you also have a inadequate aplication of the products of the field of psychology, whether it be due to faults inherent in the specific field of psychiatry or because of the unreliable processes that produce the knowledge in the first place.
Non trolling point: In my abnormal psych class we were asked to profile a mental disorder and present an overview of it to the class. I instead made up a completely fictional disorder in which the symptoms more or less described a creative, critically thinking individual (the professor was aware of what I was doing and encouraged it). I gave the presentation and it took about 5 minutes of questioning before people started to look skeptical. Shit is wild.
