    Disk Cleanup options missing

So BG, my disk cleanup seems to be missing 2 things I know are supposed to be there. I havent ran disk clean up for a little while and decided it was time.

I know there was 2 additional categories on the list, Debug Dump Files and System error memory dump files which are currently not showing up. I'm on windows 7 also. Just wondering if anyone else has ever run into this or knows how to fix it....

Just hit start, and in the search box, type disk cleanup?

Did his post end here for you? lol

He meant as far as options go once in the disk clean up (i.e. what places he can select to clean) are missing.

As far as missing though, I have system error memory dump files, but not a debug one.

Are you sure you saw those options before on your machine and not another? The list can change from machine to machine depending on how the machine is configured and what windows version you are running. Maybe you've disabled some services/options/components in the past which may have removed those options in the list? My setup doesn't have those options you're looking for either. Sorry I couldn't help much~

Most likely what omniyoji said, it most likely has something to do with the version of windows 7 that you are running.

x is any number, 1 is fine

    "cleanmgr sageset:x"
    check the options you want
    "cleanmgr sagerun:x"
that will run and clean the options you selected

EDIT: Why not use ccleaner? They the missing options you are looking for an a bunch more.

    You're both retarded http://bluegartr.com/forum/images/icons/mmithra.png

Don't bother trying to help if you're not actually going to read the whole problem, and don't snark the same audience that you're trying to get help from...common sense here people

As previously stated, it's likely a difference in the version of windows that you're using. Some of these sort of settings are either streamlined into other features/processes in such a way that you no longer need the specific option, while others are removed to "prevent bloat" with a function that's more advanced than the intended audience of the version. If you didn't see it on this specific installation of windows at some point, then it probably isn't meant to be there at all. You're welcome to run a repair install if you want to be sure, but it isn't likely.

It's kind of a futile quest though, since (also as previously stated) ccleaner does a much better job of this kind of work and lets you really fine tune what you do and do not want to clean without much effort.
