I don't think Dwight would have been a good manager just because he would be super strict about everything, I don't think it would have left too much room for them to actually be funny.

Am I the only one that remembers he shot a gun in the office?

If Dwight was manager, Jim and a few others would be fired almost instantly. If they weren't, it would be completely against the character they've built him up to be over the years. I know that Jim and Dwight have a weird relationship, but there is no way that is enough for Dwight to consider keeping Jim around if he has the power of a manager.

Agreed on Dwight firing Jim. My first choice would have been Darryl.

Am I the only one that doesn't like Darryl? He was fine when he was just in the warehouse, then I didn't mind so much when he got moved to an office upstairs, but lately it just seems like they're trying to put him in every episode to give his backstory, but it's not interesting and he just complains a lot it seems.

Just watched the last episode. Definitely my favorite Office episode in a long time.

The Jim and Dwight rivalry has always been my favorite part of the show. The show would be terrible if either of them left.

I agree. Steve Carrell leaving wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be since Jim and Dwight are still on. Also, I can't agree with Darryl being the manager. It's probably just because of how he's been acting the past few episodes, but he never really stood out to me too much before.

While the U.S. version of The Office began its life as an all-too-accurate depiction of workplace drudgery, its last two seasons have gone on to prove that the world of Dunder Mifflin has cut all ties with what its viewers call “reality.” Case in point: While we in the real world continue to battle a weak economy and wrestle with constant job-security fretting, two of the failed candidates for the seat vacated by Steve Carrell at the end of the series’ seventh season have found employment at the fictional paper company—and thus recurring roles on The Office. Following in the path of James Spader’s swift ascension to the top of the show’s corporate food chain, actress Catherine Tate will return to the series as Nellie Bertram, the overzealous interviewee whose appearance in last season’s finale episode caused plenty of Dr. Who fans to think “Why were we excited about this?” Of course, given the series’ skewed perspective on how people earn and retain employment, maybe Tate is returning to Scranton in a bit of a Dr. Who crossover, where she and David Tennant arrive via TARDIS in order to fix the rift in time that allowed for the eight season of The Office, therefore resetting its timeline and restoring “Goodbye, Michael” to its rightful place as the series finale.

There was an episode where Jim (while at Stamford) played CoD w/ Karen, Andy, etc. "as part of a team-building exercise."

I didn't find this episode as funny as the past few this season. Dwight made it watchable though. I think every episode should have a scene or two shot from Schrute Farms!
