I don't really have a problem with Pam herself since her part of the storyline is understandable, but the philli story as a whole has felt a bit forced as a way to get jim out of show for most of the season. That said I actually liked the last two episodes and I can finally start to see where they may be taking the show to reach an ending for a least that story.
The feels at Dwight's proposal. Fuck Pam.
Looks like the petition to extend the last episode worked. It's being extended by 15 minutes.
Thought last night's episode was probably one of the funniest in the last two seasons. Hoping the finale is just as good.
the jim dwitch schtick was great. it was first couple seasons level stuff. that gave me more feels than any of the stuff at the end.
The way I feel about The Office season 9: Shut the fuck up Pam. Shut the fuck up Jim. Shut the fuck up Andy. Everyone else, continue.
For what it's worth, if they are keeping a Steve Carell cameo in the finale a secret they're doing a really good job of it. He was apparently on set during the filming of the final 2 episodes, and his publicist did not give a solid "No" when asked if he filmed any scenes for the finale.
makes sense, the doc just aired so him appearing wouldn't be a surprise.
the feels..
great finale, didn't want it to end, not at all. but excellently done.
"It's like all my kids grew up and married each other.-Michael Scott"-Denmork
rip in peace the office![]()
That ending wrapped everything up so well.... I got teary eyed at one point and was instantly checked out of the feels with laughter.
Agreed. I thought it was very well done. Fucking Creed man lmao.
Ryan abandoned his baby, I was horrified and laughed at the same time.
This is the kind of episode that the past 2 seasons was lacking, though this episode wouldn't have happened without it being a finale.
The only gripe I have with it is that Holly wasn't mentioned at all. It was just "Michael is so happy and has kids" but it would have been so easy for Pam to say "Michael and Holly have so many kids". It's the one thread to me that they should have tied up, inferred Holly was the mom, but somehow thought that wouldnt be a nice line to add?
I hate to harp on that one point, because the rest of the episode was just so great and Carrel's return was just as awesome, but it just seemed like something so simple that if you aren't going to have Amy Ryan show up with Carrel, then at least take the .2 seconds to throw her name in there.
Ok, rant over.
Easily one of the best episodes of the entire series, top 10. Which is what a finale should be. Also ranks as one of the top 3 Creed Moments imho.
Spoiler: show
Couldn't have made a better entrance.
Even though Michael had like two lines and few giggles, it was absolutely perfect.
And I believe if Dwight was made manager earlier, the show would've been miles better.
