I got my girlfriend the 16 gb card cause I was able to get it for 40ish. Hoping she wont need a 32 for awhile (already has a 4gb but we do have PSN+)

Metal Gear Solid 3 HD is on sale for the Vita through the store; epic. Persona 4 Golden is amazing. Even if you never played any of the Persona games, or even if you hate jrpgs, it's that good. Motor Storm RC I think is still free. Unit 13 is good for a quick "pick up and play" game if you liked old school SOCOM (3rd person shooter). Mortal Kombat is usually cheap and has a ton of content like the console versions. UMvC3 is pretty as hell to play.

If you do not get Persona 4 then I just do not know why you have the system in the first place. Motor Storm RC is 12$ on sale atm and Unit 13 is 13$ with plus til the next PSN update. PS All Stars is a fun game if you are into the Smash Bros type fighter. Little Big Planet is a hell of a fun platformer. Some of the community levels are pretty damn ingenius. It was on sale last week but I am sure it will be again soon with after Christmas sales.

I got a 32g for christmas and I was actually surprised by how much I already had on my 16. The total I backuped over to the new card was 12 out of the 16g. Yes I have + and yes I have installed just about every vita game, and I got the Black Friday bundle so I have PSAllStars on the drive along with the + stuff. But I was still surprised how fast stuff compounds.

Vita games can be up to 4 gigs. The cinematic intensive PS1 games, rpgs like FF7-9 and LoD, are between 1-2 gigs. Same with PSP games. Stuff adds up quick.

Trying to find a good case for mine. The PSP had an awesome starter kit that came with my system (hard case, UMD holder, memory stick holder) but the Vita doesn't seem to have products like it. I'm torn between trying the starter kit for Vita (MSRP $40 with some on Amazon going for $19-$30) that comes with screen protectors, 4gb card, and memory card holder:

Or the travel case ($15-$25) to store accessories, cheaper (mostly) but doesn't include screen protectors, etc.

I'm not a "Sony brand onry!" type of person so not sure if I should grab one of the other non-brand name product cases for cheap and just get the screen protectors separate. Either way it looks like i'll be spending around $20-$30. Any recommendations?

That's the one I have. It's awesome. Also, get a HORI screen protector. 6-8 bucks, looks complicated to put on but it's very easy actually. Also it covers the entire scratchable front plastic of the Vita.

Edit: on the PDP case; the right side can hold 19 games and 2 memory cards (not included). The pull out case that will Velcro inside can hold an additional 4 games.

If you take good care of it and keep it in the case when not playing it, you really don't need to worry about a screen protector.

I like the travel case. Its small and fits the vita well. While you "can" theoretically put 4 games and all your accessories (charger and wires) in it, it gets bulky and I don't suggest it. It's great for holding your vita, games, and little things like screen wipes, cloth, ect..

The one one listed above is huge, so thats something to keep in mind

Btw, you can buy the nook charger, it also charges the vita(even when playing games).

The vita charger is so bulky that it makes it easier to store the charger in the case.

I am a big fan of the PDP case. I like custom covers and a hard shell (just like the logitech one for the PSP)

I just put my Vita in my old basic PSP case cause I'm lazy and usually I don't need to carry around anything extra since it's always fully charged and my memory card has all my games.

So I had a couple games give me a error when I wasn't connected to the internet and wouldn't start even though they aren't multiplayer games? THey were FFT War of the Lions from PSP and Gravity Rush. Is there any reason for these to give me no wifi error and not starting?

Have you played them at all yet? Might need a internet connection on first bootup is you got them through PSN+
