I enjoy the combat; reminds me of Monster Hunter, but not clunky like Monster Hunter. Seriously, everyone should try the demo this week. It's the entire first chapter and your save file will carry over to the retail version. I'm 98% sure they said they will either pull the demo, or turn off the online section of the demo when the game drops next week.

I'm not a big fan of the combat or the battle system in general.

Everything is based on charges? No actual weapon?

The annoying "take out sword/ axe/ giant fist" animation is annoying too.

I enjoyed it but I didn't play much of it.
Not a game I'm interested in buying new 'cause it wasn't all that great.

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace Coming to North America & Europe This Winter
GungHo Online Entertainment, a multiplatform publisher for the online gaming community, today announced it will be publishing the upcoming action RPG title, Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, in Europe this coming winter for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita systems. The ultimate version of the company’s previously released title Ragnarok Odyssey, Ragnarok Odyssey Ace offers a host of new content and innovative cross-platform play, which allows both PS3 users and Vita users to play the game together via online connection.

Set within the world of Norse Mythology during the fabled Twilight of the Gods, Ragnarok Odyssey Ace builds upon the original game’s highly addictive action RPG combat and cooperative gameplay, adding in an all-new Ace skill system which gives characters extra abilities and allowing them to better customize their gameplay experience. One key item in the game’s customization process are the all-new Halomonas Weapons, which allow players to upgrade weapon parameters, skills and even aesthetics after successfully completing certain quests within the game. Ragnarok Odyssey Ace also offers new gameplay content, with new enemies and an all-new epilogue featuring the Yggdrasil Tower, a new area that creates random dungeons of endless variation for players to battle through with their friends online or solo with the help of AI controlled Mercenary Helpers.

Players begin Ragnarok Odyssey Ace by creating an entirely personalized character from a wide range of visual options. After applying physical features, players will then select their character’s play style from a stable of six diverse job classes, including the Sword Warrior, Mage, Assassin, Hunter, Cleric and powerful Hammersmith. Upon entering the game’s open-world environment, players will be tasked with exploring a realm filled with heavy action, in which giants and humans remain in constant conflict with each other. The game sets a mood of epic adventure thanks to a striking musical score from returning Ragnarok Odyssey composer Kumi Tanioka with a guest track written by internationally-renowned RPG veteran Nobuo Uematsu.

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace will be published in Europe by GungHo Online Entertainment America this winter. XSEED Games will publish the title in North America.

How are fighting games on the vita? I can't imagine them being as good as playing on a console with a real controller, but are they?

The controller is really the issue for me... but just gameplay-wise, it's fine imo.

Its just about as decent as playing with a pad... neither is optimal for fightans but its playable.

Today, Ubisoft announces Rayman fans will be able to enjoy Rayman Legends on Playstation Vita. Rayman Legends on Vita will be released alongside the console versions on August 29th in EMEA territories and August 30th in the United Kingdom.

Rayman Legends on Vita includes all of the original Rayman Legends content, as well as five exclusive maps playable with Murphy, the green bottle fly seen in previous Rayman games, controlled through the Rear TouchPad. A multiplayer mode is locally accessible on Wi-Fi and fans from the same country can play in cooperation.Players can also compete with one another in the online challenges and compare rankings in the online leaderboards.

In addition to the five Vita-specific maps, two exclusive costumes were created by the Ubisoft Montpellier team. Fans will have the opportunity to dress Rayman in a costume from Prince of Persia, the legendary hero of Ubisoft popular franchise, while Globox can be dressed in a costume from the famous spy series, Splinter Cell.

Rayman Legends will also be available on the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and Nintendo Wii U at the same time, on August 29th in EMEA territories and August 30th in the United Kingdom.

Rayman Legends retains the fantasy appeal of its predecessor while adding a multitude of clever and entertaining gaming modes, new characters, new environments and a new soundtrack. The award-winning team of artists, designers and composers from Origins has also returned with an advanced UbiArt engine to include multi-dimension gameplay elements, an improved lighting system and updated game rendering that elevate Rayman’s graphics to the next level.

About time it's official. Complete missed opportunity for having it co-op with the PS3 though.

    As fine as a pad.

Only real issue I have with the fighters I own on Vita are the load times. Outside of SFxT, they're all pretty terrible compared to the PS3/360 release, especially Blazblue taking twice as long at minimum.

Edit: Also how do I get games I've already purchased on my PS3 onto my PS Vita (like FF8 or FFT)? Or do I have to rebuy?

As long as you are logged in on the same account you used on your ps3 just go to the store and download them. No extra charge.

Can also use Content manager to move game/saved files around from PS3 to Vita.

Have to redownload them on either PS3 (can't copy an already installed PSX game like you used to a couple years ago), or from the Vita on the same account.

Some games you can't download on the Vita directly, and require a transfer over from a PS3 or the Content Transfer tool. Majority of the FF games (except 5) can be DL'd directly.

Is there a way to move things without getting them deleted on the PS3?
Every time I tried transferring something over it said that the content will be removed from the console (they were all vita demos, so maybe that's why?)
