Give me 3-4 AAA titles (Exclusive to the system), and how I can take my PS3 games on the go, and I'll probably fork out the cash.

Not surprising a lot of dumb shits are believing the placeholder price to be the real price over at /v/. Of course they're trolling cause they mad as fuck.
GameinformerYoshida (Sony Computer Entertainment president of worldwide studios) did provide one further hint to go off of as we begin speculating about the price. When I brought up the initial shock at the PlayStation 3 launch price, he laughed and assured me, "It's not going to be $599." Well, that's a start.
Well, that makes me feel much better.
"It's not going to be $599, silly... it'll cost way more!"
inc. Five Hundred and Ninety-eight U.S. Dollars.
just checked the other PSP2 info thread, seems there will be different models offered: wifi and wifi+3G. I can see the wifi only model costing around $350, and if it is, thats the one i'll be getting.
Got to admit I really respect their decision here.Sony, a champion of 3D, is not bringing 3D to its NGP. Why? "We evaluated the 3DS screens that are available and the costs," Yoshida said. "And there are lots of trade-offs. This [the NGP] is what we want to do."
When pressed further, Yoshida continued, "The portable is a totally different beast. It's still emerging and in a transitional stage. We are developing a platform to last a long time." So Sony, Yoshida said, made a very careful choice about what is important to them. Apparently, that's not putting 3D in a portable.

A) Olde
B) Generic Placeholder
C) lolgamestop
I'm willing to fork out 300-400 for this baby.
My personal guess is 299-350 for wifi, 399-450 for 3g. purely a guess though.
The only thing that bothers me, is the fact that it's 3G, now that all providers here have 4G rolled out, so hopefully it'll be 4G compatible in the future. (i haven't seen the vids yet cuz i'm at work, maybe i'm missing something.)
Yeah, I'm in the "3D is gimmicky bullshit" crowd. I wish it would just die.
This thing makes the 3DS look like a kid's toy. Two handhelds that physically look very much like the ones that came before them; it will be interesting to see if the ending is different this time.
I'm just under the assumption that the 3D screen, even when not in '3d' mode, rapes the battery life. OLED doesn't require a backlight, so that alone should save lots of power for the GPU to hog instead no?
The biggest drain on the psp's battery life was the optical drive, so that's where the real power savings are to be had. I'm sure the switch to OLED helped but not as much as not having a constantly spinning disc drive + laser to power. Complete speculation here, but you'll probably save the most battery power just turning the 3g/wireless off in the NGP.
Being able to play MHP3P without having to crab claw your way through the damn game will probably be enough to some people. With that creepy people stalking app too, this thing is going to sell like 13 year old virgin girls underwear in Japan.
Definitely. I expect 3G to be pretty draining. Also as far as my limited internet knowledge about the OLED screen, I've read that it uses less power when displaying darker images, but can use a little more power on 'white' images or images with bright colors.
Fuck that, claw for life. If they make an iteration of MH for the PSP2, they better have a control scheme that let's me claw.
