Robotics;Notes being ported to Vita this winter (Japan)

Video game news website Famitsu reported on Thursday that the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 science adventure game Robotics;Notes will be getting a PlayStation Vita port this winter. The retail price has not yet been decided.

Robotics;Notes is the third installment in Nitroplus and 5pb.'s series that also includes Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate. The story is set in an alternate future world after Tokyo's Shibuya district was destroyed in 2009, followed by the destruction of the Radio Kaikan building in Tokyo's Akihabara a year later. The world is immersed in realistic augmented reality technology in 2019, but a high school robotics club is in danger of being disbanded after shrinking to just two members. The club's revival is tied to the robot it is building. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions shipped in Japan in June 2012.

Firmware update the other night. Added something much needed to the PS-button menu, and fixed screenshots looking god-awful on certain select games. A PS+ shortcut button on every Live Area also for save upload/download, for whatever reason...

There’s potentially two pieces of news at play here, folks. Either Target is doing a crazy, crazy sale (which it certainly has before), or Sony is about to announce a price drop for the PlayStation Vita handheld. Both are plausible outcomes.

The report today comes out of the Blu-ray forums, where an ad was posted that claims “all PS Vita game systems” will be at a deep discount from August 18-24. A PS Vita typically retails for $249.99 for the Wi-Fi-only version, and $299.99 for the 3G+Wi-Fi version.

Could also be trying to get rid of stock since the Walking Dead Vita Bundle is out 8/20, for $249 (WiFi/3G+Game+4GB stick). The original $249 is just WiFi and the $299 is WiFi/3G with a 4GB stick.

Edit: The PS4 still only has a single SKU.

Ragnarok Odyssey is amazing! There is a remake/update called Ragnarok Odyssey Ace coming out (not sure if we'll get it), but Nobuo Uematsu is doing that OST whereas Kumi Tanioka did the current game's. 200+ hours and I still have so much fun. Mura is maybe 40 hours. The post game was more fun, I thought.
