Any of ya'll jokers mess with spears? I want to make a spear crit build.
    I'm thinking about going with:

SPD Sasaki Kojiro: Agility+ (Dual), Swordsmanship, Verity (Lv. 3)
Honda Tadakatsu: Verity (Lv. 3); Expert Destroyer; Prescience
Oda Nobunaga: Heroes' Rally, Fitness (Lv. 2), Prescience

I actually already have Tadakatsu and Nobunaga and I have them set up.
Right now I'm running with Momtaro for SPD but obviously that's kinda gimp 'cause my Gouge Master is doing nothing for a spear but its the best option I have a the moment.

Reading all of this makes me want to start playing Toukiden again...I only played with the bow, so maybe I'll try one of the other weapons.

In case any of you guys do pick the game back up, you'll probably want this... so I figure I'll leave it here.

What weapon type were you playing where you were mashing buttons? haha
I use LS, DK and now Spear. Not really any mashing with these

I decided to continue my mnk legacy from ffxiv and i went fists. extremely slow and clunky, but i'm starting to like it. BTW is this the only moveset i'm allowed to use? or is it like PSO2 where i can acquire different moves and lvl them up?

Each weapon only has one moveset but the mitama abilities can alter how you play.
There's active abilities for each type of mitama and also passive skills. It gets pretty involved.

I dunno how drastically your playstyle would be changed with fists but I know my bow crit and SPT(caster) bow play styles are completely different.

What bow setups are you using? I'm currently using bow as a main weapon (not sure what to pick for farming/trash mobs weapon) but I only have 1 SPT/SPD mitama (and like 3-4 of each other type lol).

I have a crit build but I'm not even going to list it 'cause I don't use it for anything other than screwing around or fights against more than one monster. This right here is my bread and butter for any quest with a single large Oni.

SPT Abe no Seimei: Pursuit+ (Bolster), Pursuit+ (Devour), SPT Master (Renewal)
Kamiizumi Nobutsuna: Fountain+ (Bolster), Pursuit+ (Bolster) SPT Master (Devote)
Goto Matabee Charge, Devotion, Heroes' Rally

Crit build is a SPD build, but trust me... SPT is the way to go.

You might wonder about charge, devotion and heroes' rally on a SPT build but if you run and then do a charge shot that's guaranteed crit damage which would be speeding up the timers on all the spells. Its really nice.
With this build you're more free to use pretty much whatever bow you want, its good for targetting elemental weaknesses and the like.

Its a common SPT endgame build for bow, actually.
Here's a video of it in action.

Wow shit, that looks fun. Though do you still need to rely on cursed arrows for breaks with that build? I like the idea of not needing them, since they feel like the most frustrating part of using a bow.

You don't have to use it as much but you'll still kind of want to.
It definitely helps to hit with curse arrow and then aim your charge shots to the parts you want to break, but fountain hits just about everywhere so its good at breaking. Pursuit aims at the part you hit last but its kinda big so oft-times it'll hit other parts if not fired very precisely... and with the way the build works you won't be able to rely on your Destroyer often since things are usually dead or dying by the time the weapon gauge fills even once.

Also, rewatching that video made me want to find that music... and so I did.
    Spoiler: show

So I've had a Vita for ages now and I can't really decide what's good and what's bad anymore. Halp!

I need vidyas. Toukiden sounds good from what I've read here. What do you guys recommend beyond that? I've only 2 games still. P4G and Gravity Rush lol.

The main games I liked on VITA aside from what you listed are Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Soul Sacrifice, Dragon's Crown (but this is also on PS3), Muramasa: Rebirth and the fact that I can play PSP games from the store.

I've played a few other games but I'm not sure if I should recommend them... but I'll say it might not be a terrible idea to try one of the Atelier game remakes. The Plus versions on VITA are pretty neato.

Also, I didn't grab Guacamelee when it was free on Plus but when I saw it after-the-fact I kinda regret that I didn't. Looks like a great game.

EDIT: Aside from all of that, everyone rants and raves about how great Tearaway is. I haven't played it so I can't say much myself but supposedly its one of the VITA's killer apps!

Tearaway is fun but it's very gimmicky, the game goes out of it's way to constantly remind you there's two touchscreens, a camera, etc. If you're the kind of player who just prefers buttons and a dpad, it can get annoying.

    Seconding Soul Sacrifice.

Tossing Ys Celceta into the mix.

Heard mixed things about Mind Zero
