As long as the characters aren't completely unlikable like they were in Abyss, I'll grab it eventually.

My JRPG line-up on Vita is pretty damn small. Just FFX qHD and Persona 4 atm.

I actually liked the characters in Abyss.

The Tales games that had characters I was rather indifferent to..

Eternia (I liked Rid, but everyone else..ehh), even though I really enjoyed the game itself.
Destiny 2 (aside from Judas)

I'd say Legendia too, but I did appreciate how the individual chapters fleshed out each character.

Even if Chloe has a dumb hat.

Hey, I said "indifferent to" not dislike.

And to be fair, maybe Destiny 2's not the greatest assessment -- I'm only halfway through; stopped it when grad school hit, then never picked it back up.
Then when I tried, I forgot how crap worked. I think I'm right at the part where you get Nanaly?

It's on my 'to play again' list.. right with Rebirth. If I'm lucky, they'll finish that patch (yes, I know there's a full translation).

But seriously, I think Kyle and Reala were so damned annoying to me that it turned me off to the rest of the cast.

But do we agree on Eternia or not Char? Interested on your take. I always felt "Wow, fun game, but meh cast."

I'm a big fan of Rid/Reid and I like Farah. Meredy and Keele are take-it-or-leave-it kinda characters if you ask me.
Max and Chat are better than they are even if they are silly one-dimensional characters.

So yeah, I mostly agree.

Particularly between 3:00 and 4:00ish, if you like Reid.
