Depends on what you like.
I could recommend Atelier Ayesha Plus til I'm blue in the face but some people will take one look at it and say no before even playing it.
Gotta give us something to work with here.

Lots of eyes at work so nothing with anime teens with giant tits flopping around like in the trailer in the previous post.
I have rpgs with the FF's but no hack and slash, action, arcade, shooters or anything. I'd even consider racing or off road games too, just anything that you can pick up for a min and turn off without any consequences or save points needed.
Ys: Memories of Celceta
Persona 4: Golden
Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel (Coming out later this month)

If you got PS+, check out Freedom Wars. It's one of the free games for the Vita this month.
It's like Monster Hunter, but with giant robots.
Other games that you could just pick up for a few minutes and then put down.. I'd recommend Hotline Miami, Splunky, Super Meat Boy, and Rogue Legacy of you haven't played these on PC.
Wait compagnies still make games for VITA?
Yes. 2016 is looking to be a really great year. Why wouldn't they make games for it? Vita did fairly well in Japan (which is why many of the games are Japanese games) and the system has a high attach rate in the west so most games do reasonably okay even though the system itself didn't move many units.
Some 3rd party games sell more for the Vita versions than 3DS versions even though the 3DS sold gangbusters.
In short: Vita owners actually play video games.
you don't even need to hit the home button, you can just tap the power button and it will suspend.
My power button is odd and doesn't always turn off (but always turns on) so I got in the habit of Home then Power.
I really wish the Vita was more popular though, I find it way more enjoyable to play games on than the new 3DS that I own. 3DS games seem worse in quality both visually and gameplay wise with their dumb gimmicks. Getting Digimon Cyber Sleuth for my vita and I remote play a lot so I enjoy it for what it is.

Uppers - 10 Minute Gameplay
Stranger of Sword City - NA April 26th | EU April 29th
Wizardry: Town of Imprisoned Spirits - February 5th in Japan
Digimon World: Next Order - March 17th in Japan
The music on that Stranger of Sword City trailer was pretty nice, gave me a small Shimomura vibe.
What's the usual battery life for VITA, or rather how long does it usually last before you need to charge it? I'm trying to figure out if I'm gonna need a new replacement battery soon, or if certain games just seem to drain my battery faster than some others.
Are there any other ways to make it last longer besides flight mode and turning down the brightness?
Really depends on the game and what power mode they use. I usually have wifi off, lowest brightness, and get around 4-5 hours. Trying to play something like Killzone Mercs online and it'll suck it dry in under 3.
Games that flat-out disable wifi functionality appear to be battery munchers also.
Also, playing PS1 games doesn't drain the battery nearly as fast. I usually get 7-8 hours on a PS1 game before the battery is almost empty.
I don't even remember anymore. I bought a PSTV and never looked back. vita as a console is pretty great aside from some games not working on it (only one I sorta care about is Ragnarok Odyssey ACE... at least the demo doesn't work on PSTV and so I don't think I'll be buying the actual game to test it)
I see, so maybe it isn't my battery after all. It never occurred to me before that the game could possibly be affecting it till a few weeks ago when I noticed my battery drains faster than what I recalled.
I'll need to look into PSTV, I honestly don't know much about it besides the price. Being able to play games on a TV though is a huge plus for sure, just only some games are compatible with PSTV, ya? Though I'd assume most recent games are becoming compatible with it.
