I paid off my Vita in Gold Bullion.

I think I finally decided to buy one... I think... so now I want to decide if I want the wifi or 3g... I'm leaning towards wifi since it is $50 cheaper off the bat and then $20-30 every month for the 3g plan. Wifi is definitely sounding better, especially since all of the games announced thus far don't seem that I'll put too much online time in when I'm not at home anyways.

I didn't really see a reason for the 3g so I ordered the wifi version. I really don't want another monthly payment and most of the playing I'll be doing will be around a wifi connection anyways so meh. I didn't order any launch titles though... Launch titles weren't that interesting so I'll be picking up old PSP classics I never played like FF4 and FFTactics, etc.

As far as i'm aware you can't play multiplayer over 3G anyway? I thought it was for non gaming purposes only, like downloading stuff, am i wrong? So there is no real purpose to having 3G anyway if im not mistaken.

So.... get a LTE phone, use it as a hot spot for your wifi vita and multi player on the go!

If you already own a smartphone yeah the 3G is pretty useless but it will still provide things like social network notifications (it has leaderboards, trophy sync, etc) when you're not near a wifi hotspot. It's not at all for multiplayer online gaming and shame on Sony for suggesting you could in the ads they've been running.

i've currently only used 8mb/250mb on mine, i only use it to check friendslist/send recieve messages, and did a daily tourney on hsg with it. occasionally pull up near and check that too

Ok, so I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get this tomorrow, though I have a question.

Will Vita be able to play all games downloadable from PSN? PSP, PS1 and PS2 games?
I know PS1 games can't be played yet, but they will "some time soon".
If it can play ps1,2 and psp games, will it be all of them that is on PSN or only select games?
And will PS3 games available for DL on PSN beable to be played as well? I doubt I will ever use it for that but just curious.

Answer : ATM you cannot play PS1 games on vita exempt from Remote play from PS3 (it should be available in an update soonish after launch)
No idea for PS2

For PSP games You cannot transfer UMD to Vita if you are USA or CANADA so you will have to rebuy your game, you can do it so threw the Vita store but not all PSP games are available there so what you can do is buy them on the PSN store on PS3 and use this method

Answer no infer about that, but i'm suspecting BIG BIG titles will be available 100% but no info at all if PS2 games will be available on vita one day

As far as i know, you are not (an never be able to play PS3 games on the vita, you play them via Remote play which makes your vita kinda like a monitor for your PS3, so you need to have the game in the PS3 etc (if your not CWF)

As i heard atm there is like 10 titles available for remote play on legal FW (don't have the list)

Also as i heard there is 2 possibilities for remote play enhancement

1) It will be a big update on PS3 after Vita is out.
2) It will be the game company choice to unable a remote play from a game update aka SE update FFXIII to enable remote play, if that's the case, well lets hope most companies do it.

Thats about it, for the 3rd question i might be wrong but that's what i think

theres a decent list of psp games that work, not all of them do yet, but more will be added over time.

ps1 games can be played over remote play currently, and will be patched in over time to work regularly on the vita.

ps2 games are not going to work on the vita.

i cashed in my 45lb container of change which came to $445 and decided to buy the vita. cost me $325 for Wi-Fi vita, 4gb card, Uncharted, ninja gaiden, and UMvC3.

at target, you get a free 4gb card. buy2get 1free game, and my 10% discount.

Got mine at Target today. Told my boss I had to run to Target to get a new toy, he just laughed (he is a gamer also). Got Uncharted, Hot Shots, and UMvC3 (thinking of taking this one to Wal-Mart to exchange for Rayman).
