Given how much *every* PS3 feature a dev must implement manually for it to work gets (music player, XMB-invites, video recording, remote play, screen capture, etc), I doubt we'll see hardly anyone do the higher-rez remote play option, usually for reasons of RAM management.
It might explain why Sony decides to soon make PS3 remote play with every PS3 game at PSP's low-rez mode for Vita's all of a sudden after just.....not having it work on PSP after all these years. (lack-of-input on PSP not withstanding). They probably do not expect many devs to implement it themselves, so they did it on a system-level so they can at least market the feature properly this time, even if it looks like ass and has latency.
