The 3DS analog stick definitely sucks and feels incredibly weird to use.

I have had no problems with either the vita's or the 3ds's analog sticks at all, even on day 1. Vita's are a little better imo, but neither are bad.
I'd hardly call 3DS's a stick. It slides, not tilts. Felt like the PSP's nub to me. Fine for 360 degree movement, shit for anything needing analog control for walk/run related things.
It's better than the PSP's nub due to size difference and its position, but not much else was gained. I need to find me a bloody store that has Vita kiosk at any rate, I want to see that screen and sticks for myself.
I was surprised how much I ended up I liked the Vita sticks this past weekend when I got to spend time with one. I agree with the DS 'stick' feeling like more of a... slider? I don't know, it just doesn't feel super awesome to me. It does get the job done, but in games where I had to run in the same direction or something like that, it just annoyed me. The Vita sticks felt great in FIFA and Unit 13 to me, I had to get used to how responsive they were in U13 at first and was over aiming all over the place with the custom sensitivity setting (didn't look to see if it could be adjusted in game).
Anyone picking up unit 13 and the show Tuesday?
Figured I'd ask, as all my friends I was gonna play with will be too busy with ME3 lol
picking up me3, gonna get mlb eventually, but not on tuesday
My 2 cents on the analog sticks.
PSV > 3DS > PSP Go >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> PSP. The nub wasn't bad but its positioning was atrocious. It was much better on the PSP Go.
So you all got at least a week break so heres a new dumb question
For Cross play games Do you absolutely need to own the game on PS3 and vita?
Or that game you can play on PS3 at home then stream it to the vita if you stay at home (without a game for the vita)
Just kinda sad i'll need to buy MK on PS3 and then on vita lol
yeah, that's what they want you to do. it's up to the dev to decide that kind of stuff and in most cases, of course they just go with the one that gets them more money
That's one of the points of the Vita that's hurting it for me. Publishers being too greedy, and not offering some means of getting a real discount on buying for the other platform. Would be easy for them to manage if both of the games are present on PSN since it essentially costs them nothing to just give you a license for both upon purchasing the one. Konami's transfarring(lol) concept would work brilliantly for the PS3/PSV games. Play at home on the big screen, then play on the go on the Vita.
As things stand, I believe Motorstorm RC and Hustle Kings are currently one of the only buy-once-play-it-on-both games on the store, with Wipeout HD owners getting the tracks from that game for free for Wipeout 2033 when the crossplatform-networking update is out. I'd expect to see more crossplatform DLC than I do the games themselves though.
[EDIT] Well shit, one company finally gets it -http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/...-vita-save-20/

Edit : reason stupidity
$60+20 = 70?
Traded in a bunch of shit yesterday, and decided to take the plunge. I was skeptical about the system at first, but once I got my hands on it I was blown away. The system itself is light and feels pretty sturdy, unlike the PSP Go which feels light and cheap. The OS is pretty darn sleek, way better than the XMB. I experienced no lag on it whatsoever, and the touch screen was surprisingly accurate...pretty close to the iPhone, if not the same.
I can see this system staying around for a while if it gets APP support, as well as plenty of games (obviously)...now to decide what game(s) to get ; - ;
So with the free month of 3g.... is that code emailed to you, like the one for stardust? I didn't find a code in the box w/ the vita just a piece of paper telling me how to redeem the "free 3g" and a piece of paper telling me to pay for 3g for a month to get my stardust code. Just want to be sure I'm not missing a piece of paper.
Found out it auto fills after you pay for 3g.... they could have said that on the paper.
