I've heard about this happening when there is not enough power going to the vita while the charger is plugged in.

This is the stock charger via outlet. I told him to try a few other outlets, wall outlets, not surge protectors. I have read that a few others that have had this problem were able to charge with the USB cable while the PSV is on. I had him try that as well just to see. He is going to replace it either way, but I am just curious to know if it is a poor powering issue, or what exactly.

So how good is the Vita so far? Worth the pricetag?

I haven't touched my PSP in years, and rarely play roms on my DS anymore. I just don't console game period, even though I have a ps3 collecting dust. I might use it at work though, but I said that about my PSP and DS too and I barely play the DS at work. I turn on pokemon for 5 minutes than shut it off.

It's an excellent console, but obviously there aren't many games out for it yet. Certainly if you're not sure, i'd wait, either for a price drop, or until there are more games available. Regardless, i think you answered your own question: if you're not going to play it, it's not worth the money. Unless you have millions you can't find a better use for, or something.

It is a cloudless day in sunny south Florida. As soon as I get off the phone I'll go check the Vita in the sunlight (and bright shade)

I just panicked when I saw the my Vita wasn't charging, apparently its very easy to plug in the changer upside down. opps

What kind of power outlet are you using that lets you put the prongs in the wrong way?

The Motorstorm RC promo kinda bugs me. I was always under the impression the game was to be sold as a single item for both PS3/PSV, but it seems like it's separate if that blog post is a sign of things.

The one it came with @@. When I looked at it closely I could see the ridges and its not as smooth plugging it in the wrong way, but its no harder than and average USB connection.

as for outside in the direct sun.. multiple directions I couldn't really see the screen.

Bright shade (like under a tree) its playable

Cross play with PS3 version (you cannot play online with cross play) (what i mean is if you play on PS3 you can continue on vita) but (if you play online on vita can't play vs PS3 online) or something like that

10$ ps3 version 0$ vita and yes PSN

So yeah WIFI problems again, do anyone else feel WIFI on their VITA is slow?

I have the Apple Extreme router (dual band) i have 2 SSID 1 for G and N(2.4GHZ) and 1 for N(5GHZ)

My Vita and my PS3 are both connected on the 2.4GHZ cuz they don't support 5GHZ.

I downloaded a PSP game yesterday on my PS3 that was 1.7gig, took me 20-30min to download

I then tried to download Touch my Katamari Demo directly on the vita (99mb) and it took me 20minute.

My vita was closer to the Access point then the PS3.

Kinda feeling sad lol

Edit : when doing connection test from the vita i get like 5.5mbps
and from the PS3 getting like 14
