The PS button light is supposed to be on when charging right? I haven't even used my vita in awhile and now I have it plugged in, it doesn't look like its charging.

edit; nvm... apparently it is possible to fully plug the cord into the Vita the wrong way...

Who the fuck designs a power connector that isn't round, or reversible, or has a shape that physically doesn't let it go in the wrong way?

Anyways, I might be getting one of these for my bday, and was wondering how the sticks sticking-out situation is for you guys regarding throwing it in a backpack? Is a case for Vita essentially mandatory to keep the analogs from getting bent and stuck at weird angles? PSP was easy since its front was mostly flat, just slide it in the pouch it came with and put stick 'er in. Not really the case for the Vita...

They dont stick out that much, I don't really see it being a problem however I still wouldn't suggest it as perhaps the screen could get scratched up pretty bad. I'm not sure how scratch resistant it is, but I don't feel like testing it out.

Yeah they make me nervous too, but the cases for the vita are huge... so.... this is so sloppy.. but. I always keep one of those small soft cleaning cloths to wipe finger prints from iPads, phones and such anyway. The Vita has its own pocket in my backpack, which is soft enough so I don't worry about the rear of the case, and I just put the cloth on the screen side of it for now. Hopefully someone will make a cover that is more light weight.

Seems that it will even let you know you have a call even from sleep mode. Could be handy.

If it truly lets you make landline calls (the pessimist in me keeps screaming that AT&T would never allow it), you essentially got yourself a 3G Phone, which I was honestly expecting Vita to be capable of doing when it was first announced. Give people a reason to tag the thing around besides games.

Video support is nice. Was something I wished the PSP version did so I had an excuse to pick up that dinky camera add-on, but that never went through. I can picture myself using Skype over my laptop beside me when I'm gaming for random chitchats with my bluetooth headset. Just need a couple more games that interest me to come out before I commit to a Vita purchase,

I was able to call my cell phone from the vita. Had no credit, and worked fine over my 3g..... Popped up as "unknown" on my phone.

Skype app is good but, i was playing a game when my dad called, i switched to the Skype app (pressing the PS button then click answer) and when it opened my dad said it rang 5-6 time which imo took long.

Also anyway to change the list of contact.? I see all contact by trying to filter them by example just Skype contacts
