Sega/Sony care if you want Hatsune Miku, so care, dammit
[Update: For what it's worth, user BRS547 Ignis has opened an internet petition for Sega to localize the game. Sign it!]
There's no getting around it: The PS Vita is aching for games right now. Sony's press conference almost seemed to bury the suffering handheld (even boss-man Shuhei Yoshida regretted that judgment call), but thankfully for the fretful, the Vita had a strong presence on the show floor itself, right in the path of the games press. And the admirable few not too dazzled by the show's marquee titles had a chance to explore Sony's Vita-blessed booth...and spotted a number of quirky, unique releases, among them Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F.
Now, a pessimist could easily dismiss this presence as a sign of desperation on Sony's part, stuffing the booth with warm bodies cartridges to make up for the dearth of western-appealing titles. In heartening news, however, the game was localized. Menus made it easier for the Nihongo-impaired to check the game out, and grok its universally-understandable rhythm-game mechanics. Better still, when asked Sega First-Party Coordinator Andrew Wong noted a "good" level on interest in the game at the show.
Of course, one should take a grain of salt with this. Similarly hopeful comments have been made before by western Sega personnel *coughValkyria3cough*, and Sega Japan calls the shots in the end. And given its precarious financial position, it may not be inclined to take even the relatively minor risk of localizing a niche game.
But still!
So i've been playing Gravity Rush quite a bit, and it's really starting to feel like a Studio Ghibli meets Crackdown sorta game. I really hit that Studio Ghibli feel with after finishing Episode 5, with all the strangeness that is happening. The developers really nailed the "dreamy" feeling that you get when playing the game. I really have nothing negative to say about the game aside from the kinda long load times. I'm not even sour over that either, the game does too many things right for me to care about the load times.
Anyways, if anyone was on the fence about Gravity Rush, it has an excellent (so far) story, open explorable world, rpg staples like questing and leveling up abilities, and tons of collectables. Not to mention it absolutely nails the presentation and move controls.
Gurr, Take-Minakata, Pale Rider, Loa, Kumbadha, Chernobog, Seiten Taisei...
Are these all from 1 arcana? Seem like all over the place
Touch it. Totally magic. Seriously, touch it.

The press release's specific wording was "The PSN version of the game is also expected to be compatible with PlayStation®Vita (PS Vita) handheld entertainment systems." As explained upthread, we have to wait until Sony handles the processes necessary to get the game onto the Vita store. Our apologies for the delay (and the sites overzealously claiming that it was already Vita compatible) but it will probably appear in the near future.
