It won't work for all games. Final Fantasy V, Chrono Cross, and Grandia will not work via Content Manager transfer. I posted a link to the CAG forums that has a constantly updated list of what will transfer and what won't.

More titles added to the PS Vita store for PS1 classics.
Ninja store update. I'm looking at my Vita's store screen right now and can confirm it's fact. SCEA caved to the pressure of people complaining how shitastic they're doing. Keep it up! Maybe someday we'll get Crisis Core on the PSN.... someday....
Crisis Core and KH:BBS on the PSN and i'm buying the Vita lol.
edit: is there a reason FF8 and 9 aren't available to play on the Vita yet?
Oh boy, a feature that only about 10 games total used with the PSP.............including the two already mentioned Blazblue games. What happened to Sony making this work on all PS3 games in 240p mode for Vita, and 480p for those that supported it directly?
It needs to be an all-or-nothing approach, can't cherry-pick specific games.
Wonder what they are going to do about the lag. I love the idea, but all my interactions with remote play make games impossible to enjoy because of the lag.
I was thinking of making that comment myself, but I couldn't Google enough instances of people actually using it to confirm if it's fault-free or not.
If anything, Sony could just kill the ingame XMB during remote-play if they need more ram free to handle the video streaming/downsizing aspect.
It's not, but the vast majority of games work without issue. There are a few games though that don't work at all though.
Games rely on the ps3's OS to do various things, like saving/loading, exiting games, etc so that might be difficult. If anything, Sony could just kill the ingame XMB during remote-play if they need more ram free to handle the video streaming/downsizing aspect.
There goes third party support for the Vita. Not that it's a bad thing, because I don't like having to play games from a single series across half a dozen of different gaming systems.
Once this is done I'll defintely consider getting one, as will thousands of other people.
I haven't really kept up with the Vita stuff, but homebrew is good shit. Speaking of which, if I got a Vita soon is it worth getting the 3G version or is it just a waste of money and I should stick to wifi?
If you plan to play outside WIFI rangE (if thats still possible) Get a phone that can do a network sharing and plug your vita on it
So I am doing this right now.
Looks great. Lag is negligible depending on the type of Remote Play connection (Private Network or Internet), distance from PS3, router strength etc. Overall though it plays damn well once you find that sweet spot. Nice to play while I am watching a soccer game or something like that. I doubt I use the Internet connect + Remote power on much to play.
New HBL soon to be released for Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.
