So you can trade in your Vita (Wifi) for $140 at gamestop right now. I'm considering it since there's only two games i'm looking forward to and my vita has pretty much been a gigantic paperweight.

Should be noted that I am reading that people are getting errors when trying to install Pocket Fighters. Still unable to transfer from PS3 also. Could be isolated, but not positive until more people chime in about the handful of games on that list that were previously incompatible (Darkstalkers 3, Chrono Cross, Pocket Fighters, Legend of Mana).

Also New Little King's Story is up on PSN for $39, as well as demos for Silent Hill: Book of Memories and Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward.

Sell it? Sure, I guess. To Gamestop? Fuck that. That's what? $150 loss? Could easily sell it online yourself for more if you kept care of your machine. Especially since some people will soon start buying Vitas relatively soon.
I'd just hang on to it personally. At least until this newest wave of games has passed.

Too late, I got $186 (with a few other things traded in, like case and memory card) for it. No regrets. I'll rebuy it when they lower the price and have a decent library of games.

tl;dr psp kernal exploit leaked (allows psp piracy, better homebrew etc). The guy who was developing a cfw based on the exploit got butt hurt, and took his ball and went home, so currently it's just an exploit with no use, that sony will probably fix soon. The exploit is out in the open though, so someone else will probably work on it. I wouldn't update past 1.81 if you ever want to use it. Also, urbanix is currently free for EU, via a facebook promotion, and it has a usermode exploit, which will soon have hbl ported to it.

Psp piracy now available for anyone who got urbanix (it was free until today). EU version of urbanix only for now, but presumably it'll be ported to the other previously released exploits as well.

edit: the cfw was ported to the us version of urbanix already. I'm thinking this won't take long for anyone who has MH, or the older vhbl games.

Don't forget that this is the shitty version of Chrono Trigger from the PSX release.

Is there any way to get the ds chrono trigger from a third party and download it to the vita? Those load times are abysmal.

Better option would be to play the SNES version on an emulator.

I don't know why the game had bad load times on PSX. It was just loading a rom. You can literally brows the CD in a PC and see the ROM in the folder structure.

Maybe once the vita is hacked. There's a ds emulator for the psp, but it's absolute shit, and can't really be improved to a useable state. If you've got any of the exploited psp games, you could run the snes version in an emulator on the vita.

Ios version wasn't terribly bad, you get used to the touch controls quick, hell i beat the game completely on ios. Only downfall is no cutscenes.

I tend to throw it into the "Japan doesn't know shit about PC's" category, even though its unfair, but after the FFVII debacle, some of it was warranted.

If anyone was wanting to play psp backups on their vita, it looks like there will be a version released on tuesday that uses a different game.
