I never did see Joe in 3. I need to convince my friend to play that this weekend. I actually never did get past the Jhen fight.

Oh and Kiarax it looks like there is a CWCheat Code out there to change name, not sure if it is important enough to you to go through the trouble (or how hard it is to use?). I also have no idea if it even works or is full space or not. Just thought I would mention it.

I messed about a little with string searches myself but it brought up like 13 instances of my name and I couldn't tell which should be changed nor how to rewrite it as fullwidth.

Hm, I think fullwidth only lets you use 6 characters, if that is letting you use 8 it might be halfwidth. I'm not too worried about it anyway. Just played online with a friend and a bunch of other people kept coming and going, half of em had halfwidth names too, lol. Already had a bunch of crappy LS users staggering me every 2 seconds, finally found a couple of other decent players and they stuck around for a while though thankfully.

General updates, my brethren.

I killed Jinogre last night, got the "ending" credits (cameo from Cha Cha, nice). Had cleared everything up until that point (all 1-4 star quests).

Once I unlock a new tier, I usually go gathering quests > small mob kills > large mob kills and just knock them all out. Now that I am in 5star, they are all boss kills (and multiple-boss kills).

As for Happlebokka, I didn't really have an issue with him other than it seemed to take a little longer (~20mins) than it usually takes me to kill most of the bosses (10~15mins).

I switched between LS and SnS for most of the bosses, used SnS for Jinogre and he was pretty easy but I wasn't able to nab his tail. He took about 20mins as well.

Need to try some more of the 剣士 weapons and then get a decent gunner set going and try some of that out. I can't believe I've already got the "ending" credits considering I still feel like a pathetic weakling with crappy weapons and crappy skills.

Only monster names that matter are Rathalos and whatever elder dragons are in that installment.

Ignore my (double) post above. Jin can suck it. I hate him. We are not friends anymore.

My impression of the game designers when they were creating him: "Hmmm, ok so ... what would really suck? Yeah, ok lets add all of it to this guy."

I don't know what it is, but I can't keep from getting hit soooooo much when I fight him. Tried with DS but I get too careless, and the fight took a bit of time. LS took a bit longer, and I did get 2 plates in that fight. I just don't enjoy fighting the bastard at all.

On another note, since it was mentioned that people are having problems with Mr. Sand Fish - Hapurubokka

Skip to about 1:48 in this video.

Jinouga is really fun to fight to me, I've been playing with Bow today mostly and it's really fun, but I haven't tried Jin with it yet because I can't see it being anything but terrible, lol. I fucking love Doboruberuku though, can't help but laugh whenever I'm fighting him. I pray they give him a better name when they localize this though, 'cause damn that is awful. I feel like I should pick up another weapon I don't know what, didn't really like Gunlance when I used it for a little while online.
