I did the dual arena Rajang mission in MHF2 with bow lol. Bow was SO much better in F2.

What mobs are people running out of time on with the Bow? I think the only thing I didn't kill with the Bow are Ulkanlos and.....that other big one. I never had time issues.
I never liked Gunlance too, but this video always makes me want to try it out again:
That video just makes me want to play Frontier. The only thing I've found GL good for really is the mock PvP after a fight is over.
Shit this thing looks badass.
http://www.andriasang.com/e/blog/201...rusion_quests/The proper English terminology for Monster Hunter Portable 3rd's
recently announced "Rannyuu Quest" system appears to be
"Intrusion Quest." That's the URL Capcom has chosen for the
component's page at the MHP3rd official site.
Intrusion Quests are quests within quests. Some quest are marked
as "Unsafe Hunting Environment" (the orange text in the above
image). For these quests, after clearing the main quest goal, a
warning message will sometimes appear on the screen. This means
that a new beast has entered the field, and you'll be able to take
him on using your current life, stamina and items.
You don't have to take on the new beast if you don't feel like it.
After the Intrusion Quest starts, you can go into the menu and
select to head back to the village. You'll get to keep all the rewards
from the main quest.
Continue with the new hunt, and you'll find that some new support
items have been delivered to your camp. You'll also have a new
clock, giving you have ample time to take on the beast.
There's actually no penalty for failing at the Intrusion Quests. Even
if you get beaten by the beast, you'll still receive the rewards
from the standard quest.
It looks like the only thing that may end up getting in your way is if
you find yourself afraid of giant Intrusion Quest beasts like

Some of you may know, but the game broke street date in Japan and is already out.
Torrent for the iso is out as well.
Game forces 6.36 update so the iso is currently unplayable. Hopefully somebody is working on a patch or an upgraded CFW.
Yeah, the guy I'm posting videos from seems to have already "beat" it, he posted the ending cutscene and credits on his channel not too long ago. I'm planning on waiting for the inevitable English patch (or NA release if it takes that long) this time around though. Would rather wait for my friends to get in on it too and only a couple of them would be willing to play it in Japanese.
Edit: Oh and apparently a group have managed to patch it already. But they're supposedly waiting a week or two after official release so as to not detract from sales. Not sure it's true or not but we'll see.
I'll wait for NA release and buy a physical copy. MH is by far my favorite series, not going to pirate it.
I'll probably d/l the JP and buy the NA version to play with friends. If the JP version isn't hacked or w/e within a week or two, I'll pick it up when I'm in Osaka.

LZ's Prom-4 Patch got leaked, like you KNEW it would, so ALLEGEDLY the game is playable once you upgrade to PROM-4. That can only be done from GEN-D3 it seems or GEN-C depending on which Model/MOBO you have (there are two versions of the patch, 1 for 1000/2000 and one for 2000v3/3000 Models). As I am on m33-6 and have been forever I don't know if I will even bother.
Time will tell, but right now I highly highly doubt it. I have been on m33-6 forEVER and hate changing.
You won't miss out much. I'm still waiting for translate on armor skills.![]()
Will get it going on my PSP when I get home from work. Happy to do some general spot translation if anyone needs anything.
Found this.
Once translated via MS it isn't half bad eh?
Found someone claiming to have found a way to get it running on M33-6, time to see if they are full of shit.
Because I'm not much in the PSP homebrew scene, why don't people upgrade from M33-6 to Gen-D/Prometheus? Whats the reason to stay at M33-6?
Speaking only for myself? I hate upgrading. If I can play anything that I have wanted to play so far with just patched games, then I see no reason to go through the stress of effing up an FW upgrade (which I have yet to ever do). That said, it is almost ALWAYS the MH titles that get me to bite the bullet and jump to the next FW. I am also concerned with an upgrade corrupting saves made in the previous FW (which has happened to me before) or Popsloader not working for certain PSX games I have.
We will see what I hear about this supposed M33 patch though.
