That is correct, has to do with partition and filesystem alignment on the physical drive. And besides that, it may not disable defrag and superfetch for the SSD if it is cloned onto the drive.
Also, those guides out there that tell you to disable superfetch service, indexing service, and move all your temp/page files off your SSD are retarded, so don't listen to them.

If your getting a SSD & have (or plan to have) windows 7, please, for the love of all that is intelligent, make sure the SSD supports TRIM. Not all do, its not something you should just assume

You should do a format&reinstall any time you make major hardware changes, if nothing else for an excuse to reorganize everything.

Ok solve the cloning issue :D by using "MiniTool Partition" home edition..

but now i needed to set the old one to slave and the new SSD to master.. but dont know how (usually shows on the lable), beside the SSD only has 2 pins >..>
maybe there is some setting in bios..?

sata drives don't user master/slave like ide drives did. If your old hard drive was IDE, what you need to change is your first boot device in the bios. change it from the ide controller to the sata controller. Also, you're obviously in over your head and like others suggested, I'd really just have done a fresh install. Best of luck though.

You could have done like 10 fresh installs by now, including installing all your games and crap.

SSD drives don't use master (device 0) or slave (device 1) designations. Since there's only one drive per data cable, you just pick which drive to use as the main drive in your BIOS settings.

One problem I've been having is rarely the OS would lock up and nothing is responds. I can still move mouse around, click apps, etc., but nothing happens. Have to restart PC to get things working. Friend did fresh install and has no problem. Not sure if it has to do w/ the cloning a HDD to SSD but I think I'm going to do a full re-install soon.

Use Ninite to afk install most of your programs if you're really that lazy.
