So I watched the gameplay and oh god. Minor things I took from it that appeal to me because I'm crazy like that;

Sound effects felt very much like PSO.. stuff like picking stuff up, quest completing, even the loading screen. This game, unlike PSU from the outset, truly FEELS like a PSO game. Maybe not a real sequel to PSO (Even if it's PSO2), but honestly.. from the looks so far, it looks *really* fun.

Also, motherfucking gunblade, yeah.

Yeah, when the person went from slashing some/kicking/dodging to SHOOTAN GUN, I was like "YEEEES."

I think it's in Phantasy Star Portable too, but this really feels PSO to me.

Portable doesn't have gunblades, unless it's in the jp only version which is infinity. Haven't played that one because of it being jp. lol

Once again, if PSO2 is as generous as PSO and is multi-language, i'm so importing it.

Yeah, saw that over on PSO-W and was gonna post, but forgot. And I hope it's friendly with multilanguage because I'd be importing too. I played enough PSO:BB back in the day in JP to know what's what.. though the menu looks a bit more open.

It was Zero that had the gunblades I believe. Didn't they say something about having some variant of word select in this one? They could scrap it at the last minute though. If anything I could see it being more like FFXI's auto translate.

That's what PSO/BB had.. a sort of word select, sort of like auto-translate.

Could've sworn it was taken out of BB, though I do recall it being in the DC and GC versions. My internet connection at the time didn't seem to like PSOBB so I wasn't there long. And that was about the time Sega started doing the whole "regional segregation" thing.
