Also, is it weird to be hyped up over this also because the sound effects resemble PSO as well? Item pick ups, healing, the charge attacks.. it makes me so nostalgic. God this game.. I neeeed it. Also the UI is FUCKING GORGEOUS.

The nostalgia is definitely the reason I'm most excited for the game. My friends that never played PSO are all saying this game looks terrible, but whatever, they can play their WoW clones for eternity. >.>

PSO is a "either you get it or you don't" series for sure. I loved the shit out of the first one. Played like 200 hours offline only with my brother. Great fucking memories. You don't play Phantasy Star for the graphics.

Not sure if it was posted in here (I've been following this topic pretty well though, so I don't think it was), but someone did some data mining in the alpha test and found some interesting stuff. How many possible weapon types there are going to be, subclasses, some mag info, etc.

I was kind of worried with how few weapons were shown in the Alpha testing, but this makes me feel better. I kind of figured not everything was in place for that testing (especially since the mags weren't in it).

I don't realistically expect this game to be released this year but is there by chance a ballpark estimate maybe or a release date?

At this point, it is probably best to wait until E3 or Tokyo Game Show (most likely this, since we don't even know if it is coming out here for sure yet). No idea if they'd give a release date before that.

Yeah, but Sega of Japan has been dicking over the rest of the world for a long time. I wouldn't put it past them to say say JPONRY! Fuck everyone else...

That being said, I have a hard believing that they wouldn't do a NA release either with all the hype it's been getting. I'm just trying to not get my hopes up too much.
