So, Beta invites seem to have gone out, not sure if there is any sort of NDA on this, but a friend of mine and myself got in. >.>

I think they said 100k but for all we know, the number of people that signed up could far exceed that. It seems they learned their lesson from 2006.

I got mine on the 12th, but I hit lvl 10 in alpha, which supposedly guarantees you get in the beta. See you guys 3am EST on the 19th @_@

Timing of it is almost perfect for me. Basically fills in the gap of time between TERA open beta and the head start/launch. >.>

So out of curiousity, this beta is actually open on certain hours? 3AM EST is when it'll start? Jeez... if that's the case I really really am screwed. =\

Pretty sure that is just when it opens and it is open for 9 days straight. At least that is how it looks to me on their website for it. 4/19 at 16:00 until 4/28 at 23:00 (Japan time, obviously).
