I'm dicking around on 10 for now until 2 opens back up.

Is this like the PSP games where you can only learn a certain amount of weapon skills before you run out of points? If so is there a way to unlearn skills (without using yen)?

PSP2 didn't have a point system. It had a level system where the level locked depending on your class.

And I haven't seen anything about limited amount of skills.

You can learn all the skills, and then equip them on and off however you like. I don't recall portable 2 being like that, i remember equipping them and unequipping them after learning them.

How about a way for hunter to use cure/resta? Seems like if you're careful enough you could avoid all damage, but if you get hit the only way to get health back is mates and random supply drops?

From what we found in beta, only Forces get Resta. Didn't even find Anti yet.

Otherwise you're correct - Have to use mates and the supply drops, but the Force's Resta is easily made AOE.

Forces are super useful and pretty much a must for every party, 4 hunters in a party will spell trouble once everyone runs out of mates.

It's all mission based now, you gotta keep doing them til you unlock exploration quests that allow you to go out.

No joke! Now I feel like an idiot for getting up at 3 this morning and almost getting up to level 10 plus a mag and other stuff. I was one of the schmucks who hopped on within minutes of the servers opening. Oh well.

I got to level 7 on ship 2 when the servers came up yesterday. Shit got pretty damn laggy during JP prime time and they eventually did maint so I headed to bed.

A number of us got online to hit up ship 02. A lot of us are already there. That's why I'm saying we should stick there, assuming Sega will reopen the server once they handle whatever the hell is going on.

EDIT: Aiden came on vent, went to PSOW to confirm - 6 8 and 10 are now having registration/lockout issues.

Gonna have to disagree here. I think Hunters just need to learn how to use the shift key lol. The only time I came close to running low on mates was when you'd get those random missions that throw 4-5 bosses at you. In which case all I did was Telepipe and grab some Monomates from the shop. It helped that I actually bothered to learn Perfect Guard (which I just learned again now, fuck yeah). I love that skill, makes you take 0 damage from well timed blocks and reflects the damage back at the enemy. I managed to kill the Dragon when he was charging once (I think TBR or Aki was with me at the time) with a perfect guard, it was beautiful.

Also I might be imagining it but it feels like MAGs level up slower now. Maybe it's cause I only have rank 1 weapons to feed it atm though.
