One of them probably burrowed because you were too far and forgot to unburrow.
We were each soloing or own so it shouldn't have been too far from him. Our conversation on voice chat was pretty funny though, he started attacking mine and when I asked him where his was he was like "uh.. I lost it."
Just got a 3 day my-shop pass from a fun scratch lol. wee
Nice, if you haven't already used it I'd say hold on to it and use it when you have some decent rares to pawn off or a decent chunk of meseta to use to exploit people.
Yeah definitely waiting to use it, I'm not even level 20 yet so I have a lack of good gear.
These items are being removed from the FUN scratchcards in the Mines update, with new items being rotated in:
オールバック (All-Back Hair Ticket)
メイドカチューシャ (Maid Headband Ticket)
ナースキャップ (Nurse Cap Ticket)
ウエディングケーキ (Wedding Cake)
追加ロビーアクション01 (Lobby Action 1: Live It)
追加ロビーアクション02 (Lobby Action 2: Unwilling)
追加ロビーアクション04 (Lobby Action 4: Rejoice AKA Boob Bounce/Fist Pump)
追加ロビーアクション16 (Lobby Action 16: Bed, lets you lie in place anywhere)
The hairstyle and accessories are cheap as fuck, but they may go up once they're removed. Lobby actions are expensive and will likely go up too, they're also account wide so any new characters you create should be able to use them. Grab em whilst you can if you want em.
So for the Hunters here, what are your skill tree setups and how have their fared for you? Which weapons do you like and which do you hate lol? I'm loving just counter with partisan personally.
edit: Do you think wedding dress prices will increase with the update? I want to buy the maid headband and some of the emotes if possible, but I'm saving up for an aqua wedding dress.![]()
If you hit F11 there's a few scratchcards available that can give you a number of random items. One of which lets you use "FUN" points to scratch. You get FUN points for logging in each day, sending people "Good Job" messages (up to 10x each day) and for using friends partner cards on missions (summoning an AI version of a friends character to your party). Most of the items available are bedroom furnishings, but you can also get a handful of useful stuff like Grinders (for strengthening weapons), accessories/hairstyles, and tickets that let you use either the bedroom function or sell things on the AH for 3 days without the cash shop.
I run with a Sword mainly, but my current skill tree has all 3 "Gear" skills on it 'cause I like to mess around with others sometimes too. What you should be going for can largely depend on your MAG (and race/gender, but less so) though, since you need a certain amount of S-ATK to equip the top tier rares right now. Once the Mines update drops and I see the requirements for the new weapons, I'll probably be making this my skill tree. Maxing both JA Bonus is basically a straight up 20% damage increase assuming you JA all your attacks and PAs, making it one of the best skill point investments. But I need to prioritize Sword Gear and the defensive stuff first.
As for the wedding dress prices, I'm pretty sure they'll rise from here on out too. They're cycling out the Wedding Scratchcard in a few weeks too, so unless there's a sudden surge of people buying more just before they do, the prices will probably gradually rise until they remove them where they'll shoot up after.
Not too sure how skill tree works yet, but in that build you don't have Partisan Gear selected, mistake or reasoning behind that?![]()
The different Gear skills give different boosts. Partisan gear is a range boost on all the PAs. If you use Partisan a lot it's good. Personally I don't use it on enough on trash mobs to really care much for it. On bosses I don't need the range boost. It's a little hard to really gauge it in a video, but this shows the difference with and without Partisan gear:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bHb3...utu.be&t=5m53s
First use is without meter, second use is with meter. For comparisons sake, Wire Lance Gear is a damage boost on PAs (I think 25% with all 3 meters filled? Not certain though) and Sword Gear gives a variety of substantial boosts to PAs. They both give a far bigger boost to their relevant weapon, but that's not to say Partisan is bad. You just don't really need the Gear skill to use it like you do with Sword, where the difference with and without Sword Gear is like night and day.
Edit: I might grab the Gear skill again actually... I can skimp 1% damage off lol. I'll finish JA Bonus 2 and maybe Fury Stance when they raise the level cap.
Do you find that boss battles are predictable enough in desert and after to use fury stance? Against rock bear and [xxxxx] I can pretty much never get hit. But Vol Dragon I wasn't able to figure out enough yet, soloing him gives me a hard time.
This is my current build, I was thinking about aiming for something like this. Fury Critical is apparently 20% at level 10, but critical hits need to do at least 50% more damage in order for it to be worth it.. and that's assuming you fulltime fury stance. So I'm not sure if those would be points well spend.
For anyone interested, it looks like character creation is coming back on after tonight's maintenance, which may mean tomorrow for us?
Desert is pretty easy. But if he grabs you, you're probably gonna die. Even without Fury Stance on Hard mode he can kill me if I have bad luck (grab animation is long, you can be hit by other crap during the animation which leads to you dying from the grab damage, shit's a little silly). The grab is pretty easy to see coming, so if you're prepared for it it's pretty easy to avoid. Tundra on the other hand... 2 bosses, one is very easy, the other is a pain in the ass and will definitely be hitting you. As for your builds, they look pretty nice, but depending on your MAG you might want to invest a little in to S-ATK Up to be able to equip the best (rare) weapons (unless you prefer rocking with the cheaper 5* weapons, which are comparable without being a huge money sink). Keep in mind you have 45 points at 40 since there's a quest that adds 5 SP. As for critical hits, current testing shows they make you do the top of your damage range, rather than something like a 1.5x or 2x damage mod. If you have a shitload of S-ATK but very little ability (so you have a wide damage range), crits are nice. If you have a MAG with ability or some ability+ skills on your equips, you're not gonna benefit much from it due to it not raising your average damage much, so your SP may be better invested elsewhere.
Edit: 7/17/12 @ 8:30 AM ~ 9:30 AM JST

So less than 5 hours from this post.
So started doing Client orders and stuck on this one atm:
Objective: Clear Nab Rappy Capture Mission
Requirements: S Rank Clear the Nab Rappy Capture Mission while ONLY inviting Echo into your party.
Prize: メセタ Meseta: 100 経験値 EXP:1500
Any idea how to complete this? :/
On the ship before you jump in the portal thing that takes you down to the planet, there's an orange exclamation mark symbol on the window. Press that and it'll bring up a list of NPCs whose partner cards you have (as well as a tab with people on your friend list), you can summon these as NPC party members. Use Echo (the Force chick in a red outfit, エコー) and no other NPCs (other players are allowed though) and you should get the clear if you S rank the mission.
The fuck was that

Karol's most hated enemy, the Eggbear.
Haha, that was Rock Bear. In multi-party areas the boss for the zone sometimes likes to appear early. Just a few hours ago me and my friend were doing the free area desert quest.. and fought Dark Ragne in the first area, the boss in the second area, and then 2x Boss in the boss area.
