So how's the music in this? One of the things i'll never ever get out of my head was the epic music in the first one.

Making an account is easy, getting started... well, some people find it easy, others have trouble since it's in Japanese. Personally I haven't ever really had a problem with it, it takes a little bit to get used to menus, but you can either trial and error your way through (and each main menu category has a graphical icon that gives away what kind of stuff you'd find in there) or just reference one of the translation guides. After playing for a little while you should know where just about everything is aside from stuff you rarely use. Literally the only time I ever reference anything now is if I am searching something on the AH, in which case I just use this to copy paste the name of an item or ability I want to find. If you were to join Ship 2 there's also plenty of English players you can ask for help, as well as around 5 of us who still actively play who can answer any questions you have.
As for music, most of the stage themes are pretty swell, as is the in-combat themes. Like anything they can get a little repetitive though if you're grinding for hours and hours. Boss themes on the other hand are almost entirely fucking awesome, and a bunch of them adjust the tempo depending on how well you're doing. Vol Dragon theme gets faster as he goes through each form, Dark Ragne theme picks up as you destroy each of his legs, etc. Plus there's this shit which I could listen to all day:
Word on the street is file encryption and repacking has been worked out. If all goes well an English patch shouldn't be too far off.

Boom. Patch is out.
YESSSSSS! I'd sort of fallen under the assumption it wasn't happening because of the new encryption/english version next year.
I will not miss having to look up every god damn client order.
hmmm I can't get into my account this screen pops up![]()
Check email for authentication code, I had that too.
thanks
Thank god, maybe i'll finally start playing my gimp ass again. Lol
Sweet! TBR posted a link for me to this. Probably start playing again now :D
Started a character tonight as well. So good poking around on this again
Started over on Ship 2 as a Newman hunter. That cowboy hat is ballin
I'll be around lobby 27 for the next hour or so.
What's a good spec for HU?
First, keep your dirty hands off my cowboy hat. Second, I went for the boot thing and shield thing on the right to get just guard and step attacks, mainly because both are used in client orders. Beyond that I'm not too sure, but certainly step attack is worth getting, thing is boss.
Edit: I'm on now if you're about, dont know if i can invite you to the BG team or not but can find out Edit#2 derp just saw blackrose's post, ignore me.
Step Attack should be priority one. Then work towards the relevant "Gear" skill for whatever weapon you want to use (Sword is my personal favourite, Wirelance owns too though). I love Just Guard too, but it's optional and lots of people prefer to just abuse i-frames on dodge to avoid damage rather than guarding it, I'd say if you're going Sword to grab it, Wirelance or Partisan don't bother. Once you get the Gear skill(s) you want, dump the rest of your crap in Just Attack Bonus 1/2. Those give you a straight up % damage boost for correctly timed hits (which you should be doing on all your swings/photon arts).
I got a Wirelance about 15mins ago and I'm loving it. Not sure if I'll 100% it, but it's nice to play keep away with it.
Can do a build with all 3 Gears np too, I have Sword and Wirelance Gear (Partisan is just a range increase, so I don't bother with it myself). Could do something like this:

Gets you all the utility shit like Step Attack, Just Guard, Just Reversal, grabs the gears and then maximizes damage output with JA Bonus.
