All 3 fighter weapons are godly, I picked up an all-class Sword and Partisan to use on Fighter too, rocking 5 weapons on that shit. The new PAs for them are amazing.

Fighter is the best class~
One more level and I can start dualing daggers and swords. Picked up a 9 star from Dark Falz today so I'm kinda excited to be able to use
God I cant wait for NA release
Yay more SP.The next series of updates for Winter will start in late January, titled “Courageous Leader.” Like always, this update is split up into parts and will be delivered through February. The first half of the update will feature class level 55, and a Valentines Day Event. In February, they will introduce “Advanced Quests” for end game content. This system update should help make it easier to obtain some of those rare items you’ve been clamoring for.
Once the PlayStation Vita version comes out, in late February through March, expect to see a new boss, new story quests, and more things coming to the Premium Set.
In April, yet another new field is coming, and you can unlock an even higher class level.
In May, another kind of highly difficult quest is coming. (Ultimate mode?)
In June, we’ll have a 1 year anniversary event.
In addition to these updates, they will continue to update the scratch, improve existing features, and fix bugs like they always do. In the summer, they will introduce yet another new system update, and provide measures to improve the game for starting players.
Does PSO2 have challenge modes like PSO? Also, any word on what quarter this is coming out in NA yet?
Time Attack maps have set layouts with puzzles but they're not comparable with challenge mode, unfortunately that's the closest we've got at the moment. Still no date for NA.
I'm remotely interested in trying this out, how big is the client?
Waiting for NA release is a waste of time, it's going to be a watered down poorly supported version not even worth playing.
Rumor has it they may have given up on PSO2 due to how PSU was handled. This is merely speculation, though I wouldn't put this past them given how their western branches have taken a major hit. Of course the NA/EU servers would likely shut down within 2-3 years and the more devoted players will flock (back) to the JP servers.
There's really no reason to wait anyway, game is completely playable as is. Depending on where you go, ships 2 and 10 having most of the english players, the only thing you'd be missing is story (lol) and english item names. Which I've never had a problem with considering there are plenty of resources you can use to look things up.
I do agree with the above, I think they're going to give up or reconsider their idea to make NA/JP servers separate. I don't think the NA site has been updated in forever, mind you I haven't looked in a while. Also take into consideration no one already playing is likely to restart just because english. It's been said they've been watching the english players for a while now, maybe they're beginning to grasp that the game is going to (eventually) flop under their current plans.
Did you guys end up making a new bg group? The few time i logged on, i don't see anyone on in the group anymore. I'm starting to want to come back to this since NA release is possibly not happening. And i agree the game's totally playable w/ the english patch. And now that i have a wired 360 controller for my pc, the game's a shit ton more fun and more comfortable since i can play on the big screen.
Nah, same one. You just seem to have bad timing. Most of the original crew is starting to become more active again though.
They did cite currency/gambling laws as one of the reasons behind the split servers, which I always thought was BS.I do agree with the above, I think they're going to give up or reconsider their idea to make NA/JP servers separate. I was planning on waiting for NA release. Played the first JP beta that came out.
Reading talk of potential troubles for NA servers make me ask, is the game fully play-able without paying it all? Is that what most of you are doing now?
Maybe I should start now on the JP servers too
You do have access to all of the content without paying. However, you won't be able to change your mag's stats or your talent tree once they are set. You won't be able to put things on the AH either...I think? But, there were passes that allowed you to for a short period of time or something. Most of the paid stuff is cosmetic besides that though from what I remember.
PSO is most definitely a game designed for a controller. I couldn't imagine ever playing any of them without a controller. I made a JP account but I'm sure (read: hope) that the NA release won't be THAT bad.
