Yeah I tried it but, still having a bit of difficulty. Will try some more though.
Yeah I'm not sure if there a time limit either. :/
It's about a 2 minute time limit, afaik.
Hah I finally got it! Took me long enough.
Woo got the game and English patches installed! Tonight (Tuesday) I keep getting error no. 649. Does that mean servers are down? Is this regularly scheduled maintenance. Thanks! Also, if there are any websites for general PSO2 info that would be great. I've found a couple I liked but nothing I'm sold on yet.
Yeah, servers are down from 9PM - 3AM EST for standard maint on Tuesdays.
Thank youSo excited zomg
Only good English resource:

JP wikis:

Other than that can just try PSO-World or search for the PSO2 thread on /vg/.
Edit: I take that back, Bumped has good beginner guides and translates all blog posts/updates: http://bumped.org/psublog/
Alrighty looks good, much appreciated.
It's amazing that I started playing this waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back in 2001. Hell it was my first online game for the DC with *gasps* a 56k connection. Hopefully I can find some old PSO vets I used to play with.
A lot of the old PSO people I played with back then were just my RL buddies that I've stayed in touch with and a couple of em played and liked it. We'll see how things continue.
SEGA is indeed pretty awful.
Haven't been following this closely lately, did we ever get an ETA on the NA version?
Any recommendations for efficiently leveling? I usually don't mind playing casually for my first trip to the level cap but it's slower than expected. Currently picking up all client orders and repeating quests that are my level or higher. I'm a lv12 Ranger, if you've got ideas I'm listening.
COs (dailies especially, with the recent buff to them) are really the best way. As you keep clearing them you'll unlock new COs in that area, so Hans will give you kill quests all the way up to Rockbear for example. First class is always slow though, if you decide to do more later they'll be a breeze. Aaaand new datamined info, take with a grain of salt:
New emergency trials: fortress assault, turret defense.
New areas: Dragon Sanctuary, "Lillipa 3".
New planet: Unknown name (area is "Coast"). Has a boss arena being worked on, but no idea how it'll be (doesn't even have a debug warp-to command).
New enemies: DpFishArmFree (maybe a lone Falz Arm for the actual Darker Nest field? there's still evidence of such an area), BirdSoldier, DragonChariot, DragonChariotVanguard, DragonChariotRearguard, DragonSummoner, DragonSummonerIllusion, DragonFlyRaptor (DragonRaptor was Digg/Deeg, so... FLY AND BE FREE DIGG?), DragonHammerA. The tournament brings enemy versions of Huey and "KK" (probably Claris Claes, guess we chose the wrong consonant there).
Customized emergency quest messages per planet/area(!).
"DifficultQuest". No idea what it'll be, but it's on area 2000.
The next two weapon types are "Katana" and "CompoundBow". You heard it here first.
The following skills have been added to the skill lists: FuryStanceCombo (HU), KillingBonus (RA?), PhotonFlareAfterBurst (FO), PPSlayer (FI?), PerfectKeeper (GU?), TerritoryBurstAdvance (TE). Each class also has a "RareBoost" for each weapon they can use, and a Rare10(classname) and Rare11(classname).
