Every time I come to this thread I just want to play this game again, but I don't want to deal with the shit that is GameGuard. In order to play that game I still need to install that rootkit right?

Yeah GG is still required.
I wonder if the game would still perform well enough if I installed it on a virtual machine... <.<;
So, no update on the actual English version of the game, however, the item translation patch was released today for PSO2 if people were waiting for an almost full English version of this game.

Not something I'd try right away. Despite them saying it's as safe as the english patch, it's supposedly injecting .dlls and altering cache files to display these things rather than just changing out file for file.
Cool beans though if it succeeds and becomes a staple. Pirate fashion and Mesetan patch out tonight!
I wonder how useless Mesetan will be. inb4 it drops 5k meseta or something.
The preview vid showed her dropping a bunch of drops in the thousands, prob be largely worthless but I'll take that over that piece of shit Umblla any day. I'll be giving the item translation a miss but it's nice to see. Items not being done was enough to dissuade a few friends from playing so if it seems safe to use I'm sure it'll be enough to convince them.
What block do you guys usually play on ship 2? I'm a 46 fighter. I'll get on to get FUN here lately and login stamps but that's about it since I can't find actual people to play with. That and the team I'm in no one will take someone my level into AQ or TACOs
I'm one of the very few on ship 10.
I'm also bailing as soon as 14 goes into beta/releases lol.
I'm on ship 2, but play pretty casually. Generally, I just go to whatever Very Hard block has groups for what I'm trying to do. >.> The English block on Block 20 is so fricking annoying, can't really stand being there.
Border Break limited quest is such good exp until like ~45-50, kinda sad that it won't be there forever. I'm Force 50/Techer 46, but haven't really done any of the "endgame" and really just play with a friend of mine. We did recently find out we can duo most of the VH Time Attacks though, so, that is neat.
This is pretty much what I'm doing too. >.>
I just play in the appropriate difficulty blocks. Most of em are filled with English players on Ship 2 though. I'm also on the XIV train though so I won't be playing much come phase 4. I dunno why I keep seeing people so anal about levels for AQ/TACO, Shiyo and I run them duo since 40 effortlessly (45 for AQs ofc), even on our shitty Bravers.
TACO is shit tier, any level once you can accept them.
AQ on the other hand, you need to BLAST through shit to keep bursts going and maintain lots of caps while getting dorps and the like. I can understand that one. People on ship 10 banned everything but Gunslash for it pretty much. Additional bulletx4>burst waves.
Yeah I can understand the desire for efficiency but people underestimate what a level 45 can do. Shiyo and I duo'd at 45/35 BR/HU and would get multiple bursts and 15-20 caps a run generally. Hopefully peoples standards will lax a bit once they fix entrance/exit bursts because the elitism is pretty unwarranted. XQs are really the only content I'd be concerned about the others in my group, and it'd a skill thing and not a gear one, simply because I wouldn't trust most of the randoms I've played with to not get hit or heal for 2 minutes. The amount of HU I see spamming nothing but OE on every single trash mob has given me very little faith in people.

Yeah...we were doing AQ and we had 3 of them during a burst for almost 350k. Shit's crazy if you do AQ on the regular. Seems the more you lay into it the more it spits out, amusing mob really.
Yeah, I try to keep the game patched (patching now actually) so I can hop on between updates whenever. Been playing my game patch-less lately because.. I find I really just don't need it anymore. Some quests are kinda annoying, but it's no biggy. May hop on here and there until 14 releases.. (next weekend right?) So we'll see.
Dat meseta though.

So much for any hope of seeing another Shin Mega Ten game this side of the pacific ever again, let alone PSO2.
Nice, Miz tears taste great.

Rumor: PSO2 may not be heading to the West, despite being 'fully localized'
I quit playing the JPN version with the early version of that english patch. Not sure why I had any hope it would come to the west at all.It looks as though Sega has no plans to bring Phantasy Star Online 2 to Western markets after all. TSSZ is reporting that a source close to the publisher has revealed that while the game has been "fully localized" for an English release, that localization is aimed at English-speaking regions in Asia and not European or North American audiences.
The source speculated that Sega may be concerned about PSO2's potential profitability in the West but was clear that whispers from its contacts in the company in no way represent an official cancellation of a Western release. Phantasy Star Online 2 has had no visible presence in the Western games community since it was shown at the 2012 Penny Arcade Expo.
May have to dl it again
