Sprites are so goddamn beautiful, NIS should just stick to 2D stuff. They have a long way to get to get to a decent level of 3D (like Tales).

Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten Lands In North America In September

It’s out in Japan now, but the wait for Disgaea 4… ahem Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten won’t be too long. NIS America announced Prinny pirate ships will bring the game here in September. A European release is scheduled for fall.

sorry if this is a silly question, but i've gotten every disgaea game and a number of other NISA games, but i've never ordered one through their site. it seems they do some kind of promotional giveaways with ordering the game or something? how does that work?

Youve missed many many goodies; one of the reasons I buy NISA games is theyre the closest thing to Working Designs packaging.
In order to get most of the promo stuff you pretty much have to reserve the game within a day or two of it going up for preorder.
Sign-up for their newsletter and profit (well, not really, cuse youll spend more money on pointless eye candy)

EDIT- so, i went to the site, and now i think i'm going to become an addict. and i totally want the pleinair mousepad, but it's not in stock. i did sign up for their newsletter, and i found out a few games i've enjoyed were made by NISA without me knowing it! (such as a witch's tale - i'm not so big on ds, but my brother insisted i play it after he did.)

also, side note - i decided to go back to atelier rorona to try to finish up platinum, do you guys think they'll give us another atelier game anytime soon?

It's possible. Rorona was one of the best selling games in the series since the original, even though it received pretty mixed and negative reviews stateside. I doubt GUST will stop the Atelier franchise, primarily because it's their main franchise and it keeps selling somewhat decently. There's already a 2 and they're working on a 3, though I'm not sure there's any concrete plans to bring 2 stateside as of yet.

imo, none of them have been as good as the original, but rorona's not bad. atelier annie was painful, though.

hopefully they bring us 2. bad reviews stateside make me worry

Agreed, though the original Mana Khemia was probably a close second.

Beat the main story today, about to start the real fun that is grinding item world and ordeals all day. Compared to 3, I found the story, characters, and missions a lot better . Desco is broken as hell though
