And if you look at the chart on the last page, it uses one family in a group to represent the entire thing as a visual aid. Not all Aquans are pugils.

Also, there's like what, 5 different models in the "Chariot" family (4 bosses/1 generic)? Unique models for each iratham doesn't necessarily mean anything.
None of this explains the fact that Iratham, a mob in Tahrongi, still exists in the .DATs.

Moreover, when it was created, it was the only mob of its kind, and noted as being "of Caturae".
You can compare this to when "Iron Giants" were released, of which there are several different mobs within this type.

Then there's the NPC text displaying Iratham while the NPC describes it as Caturae.

Caturae is the family, Arcana is the superfamily.

(Note: As for the superfamily for Iron Giants, we probably can't tell by intimidation because their normal attacks aren't exactly conventional. More than likely we'd have to use Circles and pay attention to damage spikes to determine which superfamily they belong to, if any.)

Yeah, not much help if it doesn't specify where to drag it to.

You drag it over where the antlion nm is, and it 'eats' it with an ambush. I don't know if the nm can move or is in a static place though so you are still going to have to find it. I think it is suppose to be near by the lachrymater's pop.

Not really the right thread but yes the antlion supposedly does move around but it stays fairly close to the ??? pop. Remember though it also is a time spawned monster so if it's not popping then someone may have killed it recently. People who use ApRadar obviously have an advantage in regard to popping this thing.

When this guy absorbs the NM Flan, does he do it in an instant or does he take him down piece by piece? Can one exploit this by having the NM absorb his HP and finishing him off with a nuke?

it's instant. he "falls to the ground" and fistule becomes targetable.

The hat has been unknown since last patch, it likely comes from a locked WoE chamber.

Vox grip has been sold on Lakshmi as well as a few other servers, no doubt it comes from an Abyssea zone, my guess would be Miseraux, that seems to be where they all come from, or at least a vast majority of them.

    From the add-on site

    Iratham

Being of the Caturae, a family of most unnatural lifeforms of utterly indeterminate composition and origin. Said to have been sighted across the realm shortly after the first tremors sundered the Abyssean landscape, their true nature remains shrouded in mystery to this day. Fringe researchers have posited a relationship to a recreational pastime of a long-lost civilization, but this theory has yet to draw much support.

Quite clearly it's indicating that there is more than one "Iratham" by mentioning "their", thus indicating that it's not an individual so much as a family of sorts. You can potentially look at it in this regard.

Iratham are like Eruca, a subdivision of the Crawler family (which would be the Caturae in relation to the Iratham), which is in turn a part of the Vermin family (which would be the Arcana family in relation to the Caturae).

As it was pointed out, just because there's a member of the family with the same name as the family doesn't really mean anything.

Except if you could properly read English, you would realize the word "their" refers to the Caturae and not to Iratham.

Karagoz mantle? I kid, I kid, I know it drops from WoE but no one seems to have info on what chamber it drops from >.>

And it sounds like Caturae are part of the arcana superfamily, and Irathams (or mechanical kefkas) belong to Caturae family, as do Iron giants to me. Sorta like with rocs and birds belong to the bird superfamily, but birds belong in the bird family, rocs in the roc family, then you got different species like ravens and the like.
