I've bought all of the Tekken games since Tag and haven't liked any of them as well as the original Tag. I hope for some Ogre/True Ogre action again!

Tekken Tag Ball, please.
Ogre/True Ogre prx.
Alex pls
I think I need to start learning how to play Bryan. I can only imagine how awesome it will be to taunt cancel into a tag.
I can't even fathom how incredibly broken the game would be if they just straight took the T6BR system and thru in the tag mechanics. Just make a team with someone with obscene wall carry ability (Lee, Bryan, yadda yadda) and pair them with someone like Lili for obscene wall damage once they get there. I could easily imagine 100% combos if they straight drag and dropped the damage values from T6BR into the tag environment.
The downside to a team like that is at some point your main will take enough damage that you have to tag in Lili for a little bit. As soon as she's on the screen it turns into an SSF4 match, because it's turtle time.
the trailer made the gameplay look tag-ish to me
Ugh... I need to buy a TV soon. I'm trying to play around with a few characters in preparation for TTT2. Trying to practice combos and Oki without access to training mode sucks. Sit down at an empty machine in the arcade, pick Bruce to do some combo practice... d/f2, f434, MTS f1 B! 3... HERE COMES A NEW CHALLENGER!!!
king/armor king, paul/law combos were always my favorite still when it comes to the awww factor of the tag out combos, im honestly just getting tired of having to re learn the same character over and over again. Jin has changed like what, 3 times? TTT Jin was imo the best.
plzzz dr. bosconovitch. <3 him
Tekken 3 will always be the best.
Never got into tag all that much, but that's probably related to the fact that we were broke college kids and never bought anything after we got goldeneye and tricky.
I bet that chicks name is Queen.
http://www.versuscity.net/2011/02/10...o-via-famitsu/In this week’s issue of Famitsu, Tekken Tag 2 is featured, and there are portraits of Kazuya, Bob, Xiayou and Zafina. The article also touches upon a couple of the gameplay mechanics that will be implemented into the title.
Like in Tekken 6, items will be incorporated into the game. They won’t just change the appearance of your character, but you can also use them to attack your opponents. Some examples of weapons they have in the game include a bat for Paul and a “hammer head” for Kazuya. Yes, there is actually a hammer attached to his head. I’m guessing this implies that it might hurt just a little bit more when he does his regular throw, so instead of being standalone moves, they may actually modify other moves. In TTT2, there will be a large number of variations for each item as well. Tag attacks will also play a big part of the game, especially because TTT2 will be taking Tekken 6’s wall system. Basically, you will be able to smack opponents into the wall and eventually destroy the walls (like in Tekken 6) but you will be able to continue your combo after this happens by calling in your partner for support. You’ll have to call your partner before the wall collapses though, so there will be some timing required. In Famitsu’s article, they depict Kazuya smashing Heihachi into a wall, destroying it and sending Heihachi flying, with Jin waiting down below, readying a fist full of Godwind.
The rage system will be making a return as well, but things won’t work exactly as it did in Tekken 6. This time around, it will be your partner who will go into rage mode once the requirements are met. Oh yeah, and the requirements to go into rage mode will depend on the characters in your team. So it may be easier or harder to activate it depending on your character choice. Some of the examples that they gave in the Famitsu article are Asuka and Jin not getting along if they are teamed up, or Lars and Heihachi being oblivious to their relationship when they are on the same team.
Wow, some of the things in that first video are great. I'm going to love only having to carry around one card instead of one card per character (not to mention my DJMT2 card... SSF4 card... my poor wallet). I'm happy that the live monitor system will be international too. One of my favorite things is going to the arcade and watching live matches from Green Arcade in Seoul, but it's going to get better when I can go and watch matches from Tokyo too. Being able to save your replays to your card and then run those locally on your arcade's live monitor rig is going to be great for shit talking.
