Nah didn't work for me, but I was able to save my bookmark as a file in firefox and load it on Pale Moon. Also, I had to reinstall all my add-ons but I don't use but like 7 or 8, so didn't take long.

How do I change BG to black again? It's back to default skin here.

    Edit: Nvm found it

Edit: Any way to import my saved passwords?

Yeah the only thing keeping me from switching over to chrome is the lack of noscript.

Does Pearl Moon have an option for when opening a new tab, it opens next to your current tab that you opened it from, instead of all the way at the end?

It does almost everything firefox does in the exact same way, it's made straight from firefox source code

I'm loving Pale Moon. I've been using it for a few hours and the memory usage is only at 150k while firefox and opera would be in the 300+. Lately, FF's memory leak would force me to close down it completely or things like yt would cause a crash.

I will try pale moon if it has the capability to detach tabs and make them full windows without reloading that window. Since that probably doesn't make sense I mean that I will often load a youtube video and then using chrome will separate that tab from my main tabs and bisect my screen so that half of it is the youtube video window and the other half is my normal browsing tabs so I can pay partial attention to both at once without having to switch between tabs. My firefox has to reload that tab when I detach it so thats basically a deal breaker for me.

The reason I wouldn't use Chrome was also because of lack of noscript and the shitty adblock (loading the ads anyway) which adds a lot to load time. I suppose it is only a matter of time though, but I wish it had it already so I could use it. I will check out Pale Moon...it sounds intriguing...

I notice after being up for a day or more typing in firefox causes it chug and slow down. No I don't have any goddamn malware and my computer is otherwise fine(can fucking play PC games while doing it with no problem). Even firefox is fine when I am doing something other than typing. I can even close it and reload it and it works out fine. No idea why this happens.

Palemoon installs itself ontop of firefox. It's just an optimized firefox. Everything that you knew about firefox should be working in Palemoon except faster.

when this happens, open up task manager and take a peek at how much memory firefox is taking. that could be the problem and there's no real solution other than reloading it. pale moon so far, seems to have fixed this memory leak problem, or at least slows it down/manages it better.

Does anyone know about how to circumvent this recent Chrome issue (aside from using Firefox/Opera)? I'm reading that a lot of people are getting errors like mine where Chrome will not let you go to any URL other than the first one it loads up (sometimes links work, but no bookmarks, searches, or new URLs). I read that starting it in "--no sandbox" or "--no-process-script" mode will fix it (which would only work with shortcut icons, not applications pinned to the task bar). Neither fix works for me. I almost never get any virus/malware, but from the looks of it, the Chrome "fixes" involve turning off its security, suggesting that some malware is causing the issue in the first place. I'm currently running some diagnostics shit and hoping it's just some simple dumb shit trojan causing it.

I hope it's relevant enough, I didn't feel like starting a new thread.

edit: Yeah, it was apparently a trojan security issue... which is odd since I only use Chrome. I guess it's not as secure of a browser as I thought.

    Bump.

Since the thread is about my incapability to keep my PC safe, might as well ask this here.

So, facebook virus. Gives link to ari*mv.info with automatic messages to FB. Kind of annoying to say at least.

Anyone know wtf to do about this? Google didn't help.

most facebook viruses (lol) are based around facebook itself. if this is the case, you installed some fb app that is causing this. Account > Privacy Settings > Applications and Websites settings and just remove everything you don't need. If it's a real virus, start scanning

Firefox: NoScript, ABP, Tree Style Tab, and Undo Closed Tab Button.
Get the browser to not suck for you somehow and get used to using those add-ons and you'll wonder how you ever used anything else.

Seriously the tree tabs are like the greatest shit ever and I'm mostly just posting this so I have my important add-ons written down somewhere. >.>

I bit, and yeah, Tree Style Tab is pretty awesome. Mixing up my whole tab interface now; this, BarTab and TabGroups are all great and now I can't decide just how I want to manage them.
