    If you’re hoping How I Met Your Mother ‘s sixth season finale will completely resolve the year-long Future Wedding mystery, I have news: It won’t.

    But don’t un-Save The Date just yet. There’s a very cool twist in the works, one that will continue to unravel well into Season 7 — and maybe beyond.

    A CBS insider tells TVLine that while the Monday sitcom will flash forward to identify the bride and groom at the close of the May 16 season finale, that reveal is merely a piece of a much larger story that will unspool in the present.


    So what I think:

    The episode flash forwards to Barney and Norah's wedding where Ted actually meets the mother. Next Season or two will be developing how we get Barney to the wedding point. Punchy red herring wedding.

    So, we're going to get a extremely drawn out show I would like for them to at least start making some progress with the Mother, it's not like once we find out who she is the show is over...

    I think they believe it will be over when we find out. Whenever I hear "how we met" stories they don't end at the first introduction. I think that it could go for quite a while after meeting the mother. I wish the writers would realise that because I'm getting tired of how drawn out this show is.

    It shouldn't, we just want to know and get some real development for his relationship. Hell, could end up like Marshall and Lily with their relationship building, we've seen them change quite a bit, don't see why we can't have that happen for all of the characters.

    Obviously there will be a HIMYM crossover with Big Bang Theory and Ted will meet the mother at Howard and Bernadette's wedding.

    I know we've been bitching about this show dragging things out too long, but c'mon now.. Ted's relationship with Zoey needs to end already. It's so hard (impossible) to care about them as a couple since we know it's awful and we know she's not the mother.

    Better episode this week. Although no progress out of Ted, was nice to see progress out of Robin and Barney. Throughout the episode, based on the comments Barney made when he told Ted he and Robin were a couple, was concerned that they were gonna push the two of them together, but then the comment about Robin's crush at the end cleared away that concern for the most part. Saw the episode where they break up again last night and just can't see them being together and being happy. Hopefully that means more Nora soon.
