Saw someone post on the core who had already gotten their CE (was in Europe or Australia, I forget) and said it was a compilation of the 10 "making-of" videos only

Even though core sucks, who knows

Oh god that would be a let-down. I hope it's got the concept art in the DVD somewhere, or... Hmm, I feel like it might be in the stupid journal that I'll never touch a pen to. I feel like that's what it was. I hope it's significant enough and not just faint background images. I love me some concept art. They never show enough of it for Final Fantasy series...

Anyone else who ordered from gamestop.com get a "Back ordered" on their order status? I put in my pre-order around the 2nd of July and about 30 minutes ago it went from "Pre-order" to "Backordered"

This is very lame if I just paid 30 extra bucks and can't get my game early.

Edit: Looks like it's a widespread thing so it may have already been said on BG somewhere. I guess it's a "glitch" or something and all should be well. It damn well better be. >o

Yeah but some sites will ship it out early or some shops will sell it before the release date.

And if anyone is wondering I got an e-mail on Saturday from game.co.uk saying that it has been posted.

Glad its not the old canadian days where games would pretty much always comes out a few days after the US, especially in my province where every games need french cover/booklet and what not.

I don't think it is but if so, you can pay your FF14 fee in Crysta, which probably won't have such restrictions on buying it.

Just checked my order from gamestop to see if they processed it. Despite having ordered it on day 1 it is on backorder. FML.

I just checked up on my order status on amazon.com and the collector's edition is completely gone. Disappeared. It was there 2 hours ago, and I ordered it a month ago. What happened?

Edit: Nvm, it got sent to the "Open Orders" tab for some reason. Maybe that means it's getting ready to be shipped?

I pre-ordered through Newegg and it's still listed "On Hold" (Once we receive your pre-ordered or back-ordered item, we will process your order.)
Not freaking out just yet. Recent shipping experiences with them have been nothing but excellent.

I think everyone's order from Gamestop is listed as backordered. I called them and they said my order has been packaged and will be shipped tomorrow and arrive Wednesday.
