FFXIV Random Speculation/Question Thread X: "Social life ends tonight."

I have a question that may have been answered somewhere, but I haven't seen anything and couldn't find info on it...

Will my choice in my guardian deity affect anything during my gameplay? Basically, could I end up hurting myself later on if I pick wrong? This doesn't seem to be well explained... -.-

There really isn't any information on it. As of right now, afaik, deity has no bearing whatsoever on your char. I did read somewhere about it affecting your Guardian's Favor buff when doing leves, but on all 3 of my beta chars the buff was the same with 3 different deities. Whether or not this changes is still up in the air. There is a lot of speculation that they may offer some type of bonus at some point, as well as possible options to change deity. Changing wouldn't be too difficult to implement, there are temples to many of the deities in the 3 starting cities according to the descriptions, some of which seemed obvious in the beta, but there were no interaction points or NPCs that I noticed near them.

Anyways, SE stated a long time ago that you would be able to change your guardian. Whether it's costly or time-consuming, we don't know. Someone had said that one Guardian's Aspect was giving his leves +15minutes while another was boosting the skill gain, as expected. Never seen no +time bonus personally...

It says the code is pre-packaged with the game. Someone who has already received their CE can confirm this or not. Was the code inside the package or was it something outside it?

That's what I'm going to do, pretend the next 8 days are still beta, play around with things, inspect possible guildleve rewards, see if they mucked with gathering classes, etc. Then recreate for ze googlez :3

Ok, I thought I read somewhere that if you d/cd during a levequest, you could re-select it again. I thought this was a change they made for release. Game crashed during a levequest but cannot accept it again.

Seems you can no longer "fail" a 100% craft like you could in Open beta which is fucking great. Crafting seems to have changed a bit also, it is pretty hard to explain how it has changed but i am definitely seeing more Yellow, Red, White orbs rather then a cluster fuck of multi colour orbs all the time.

Wasn't it something about talking to an npc to "retry" a failed leve? I imagine that means you need to talk to somebody (although god only knows who), not just try to accept it again.

Yea fuck the click and pay shit. It declined 4 cards. Clicked on the ultimate pay for crsia and it was paypal. thank god.
