Patcher worked much better for me, tbf. the built-in torrent worked great (30mins for the update) and the patcher/installer took all of 2mins and worked flawlessly...

Well, now I'm out of Atma, done all 8 levequests for today and its not letting me exchange any, so all I have left to progress in this game now FIND mobs to grind off...God I hope exp parties or what ever immerge at some point because if this is how SE actually expect people to play, like its just one huge daily quest game then make people grind for 36 hours or not even log on in most cases then its just going to evaporate like Aion.

I can't stay in the game longer than 2 minutes without getting an error that sends me back to the character selection screen. If it's not the error I start S/R 0 and can't move so I have to force close.

I hope it's just a Kashuan/Ul'dah problem and it'll get resolved soon. I've already sent a bug report about it. Meh

Also the patcher worked great for me, took no time at all to go ahead and forward the port it was working on so I didn't have to worry about UPnP stuff. I was patching relatively fast.

I love how the local levequest directions are still crap.

Doing the "Scarcity of Scepters" goldsmith quest in Ul'dah. Asks me to collect the materials from Baron Roarich of Ashgana's Exporters.

Can I find him ANYWHERE on the Merchant Strip, where it tells me he is supposed to be? Nooooo!

stupid question: can I link the Onion helm in various FFXIV services?
I was so retarded I registered a new FFXIV service (using the cd key) when I already had one (I guess is the open beta one) and now I cant get my nickname from the open beta back (says is used) but I guess if I get back to the first FFXIV account service I will lose the Onion helm, right?

Well I like the hardware mouse, I can run max settings + distance + ao at 1280x1024 (I like to run window, so I can see part my desktop/browsers for crafting info!) at 35-55fps like mentioned in cities/out of the city, around 10-20+ people at the aether all the same.

although with the hardware mouse its still usable, as it really sucked with software mouse below 60fps at any time...

my cpu still uses very little of i7 930 @ 3.2ghz... 4 out of 8 threads/cpu's used, averaging 15-30% at most, 5870 runs hardcore though, wtb a 6870

also any ati users upgraded to 10.9 catalyst and see if it removes that grey.. shadow.. diagonal thing when AO is on? Or that still a SE issue since no one really used it most lilely with a software mouse (because it sucked below 60fps)

Yeah I'm not really looking forward to this either ^ but it's still way too early to see what will become of this game. I got the CE, getting ps3 in March too and I have my ffxi to play so it'll be a fun fall/winter.

I can confirm you do get Hermes Sandals if you changed your SE account from NA to EU while still using a NA FFXI account.

Hey don't forget you can do behest hourly if you have a few friends, it gives the same (or close to) the amount of experience/skill that guildleves give.
