Thanks for the controller stuff, I think I'll go pick up a 360 controller while I'm out getting a mic.

I really don't like the idea of disabling shit everytime I log on. I like the feel of the xbax controller, used it for FFXI a bit.

I use a PS2 controller with one of those PC USB Adapters; it works great.

Have you tried rumble? I remember in FFXI that the rumble would always crash the game, so I wasn't going to try it out. Although I suppose all the rumble would be annoying if it occurs whenever you crit.

Anyone came across the issue where after you log in, the square enix logo pops up and then the screen goes black and nothing happens? it doesn't stop responding it just does nothing lol

Rumble works with my controller. It is a little annoying at times, like in CS when I'm not expecting it. Or were you specifically asking about the PS2 rumble option? Mine is made by another company for use with PS2/PS3/PC.

Edit: And yes, it triggers on Crit and when you get hit.

Rumble used to work fine for me in FFXI, until I dropped my controller one day. Oddly enough after that, rumble would prevent me from canceling any buff when it would rumble. I have it turned off right now in FFXIV.

Having an odd issue with linkshells

I can't find a menu to promote/kick etc anymore

Anyway my big problem right now is I have no idea where to start

1) Wanna lv gladiator but no shield (don't wanna lv too hiugh without one)

2) Wanna lv armorer but no gil and no wind crystal

3) Botanist doesn't give me enough crystal lol

Speaking of canceling buffs... Has anyone tried to cancel self-buffs like Defender since retail hit? I know it was a common complaint in OB that you couldn't do it. I haven't started on MRD yet, only ALC and PUG so far.

@Ratatapa: You could always level any subs you might need for GLD until you can get a shield either from a leve or from a crafter. I assume MRD and PUG would make good options for stuff like Defender and Taunt respectively.

I kinda got the jest they wanted this game out asap regardless the small bugs and just fix it the next big update, lol combat lag is driving me insane.

I know its a really small matter compared to what else is doing wrong but the fact you can /type sit but you can to manually open the menu and select "stand" to stand up -_-

Not sure exactly what you mean, but if you are referring to the lack of /stand and having to manually stand from menu try /sit while sitting to stand.
