Ugh, going to run from Uldah to Limsa I think. Can't really find much of anything to xp on in Uldah post 7 other then marmots. I found 1 cave, but 5mins into xping inside it 3 other ppl showed up.

Moles and the big spiders. the spider things share spawns with the Marmots though, and it seems the only spawn during the day.
I hated limsa in beta. mushrooms would constantly poison you, and Lone Wolves were always in the way.

I did Star Marmots and Copper Coblyns til about lvl9 on Marauder.. Didn't really take that long imo. Next step probably Thistlefur Marmots and Moles in the cave.

And yeah I really have to be at least lvl8 MRD before I can safely kill Thistlefur fuckers, they evade so much that it's not even funny. 9 whiff streak's my record so far, which caused me to die on a yellow marmot. Then I take few steps and see a lvl10 Conj taking down a red Dodo.. that's fucked up yo.

Probably as MRD Dodos are a nothing but a nightmare til about lvl13 or so, with appropriate sub skills of course.

I hated limsa in beta. mushrooms would constantly poison you, and Lone Wolves were always in the way.

That was Gridania. Either way, you can completely avoid the Funguars' spore move by getting the hell away when they swell up. Lone Wolves aren't in the way anywhere you would be going until you're doing Rank~20 leves while not knowing how to be sneaky/patient.

Mine came today and I really have to thank SE for putting maintence right on EU primetime. Got to server select screen, just about to finish charachter creation... Lobby Error 1015 T_T

It appears the buddy passes don't require buying the game to continue playing, similar to the way the ffxi ones worked. Someone at ffxivcore emailed SE support because they activated on the buddy pass and wanted to upgrade to full game and they pretty much told him he already has the full game being on the buddy pass. Its looking like the CE is really worth it if you essentially get 2 games.

So what's up with the treasure chests in the field? They just randomly spawn and whoever gets to it first gets it like FF11 chests? or is it an instanced thing like the leves where only you can see it/open it?

I've opened 2 so far. one got me a rank5 shirt, the other got me some yellow shirt rank9.

Chests only pop during leves, and the gil rewards are spread out between all members, with one lucky SOB occasionally getting an item of the same level spread as the leve.

Instanced during leves. I've never seen one outside of a leve.

I just went to the largest shopping mall in Europe and the only store selling FFXIV CE had one copy, for £50. WTF? I'm not paying £50 for it lol. Going to London tomorrow and I don't even fancy trying my luck in the shops there.

but seriously, I used a buddy pass before getting CE and it's treating it like a retail account. Giving me payment options and the like. I will double check this though.

£50 is about $78 which is about what it costs in NA. That's the standard price for the CE.

They may come from leves but they arent instanced. I was able to open one yesterday without having started any leves but the mission leve that i did hours before.
