File name should be D2010.09.23.0000.patch or something like that

Don't trust that site when there's a maint. It shows up that servers are online a lot after than S-E actually lets you log in. Just wait until it is supposed to be over.

From Åland you could get one for maybe ~60e or so, but still more than what I paid at play.com. It's silly.

True, but unfortunately none of the online stores that have a warehouse in Åland had the game available for order from there. I contacted every single one when I was trying to find a cheaper one from Finland.

You should be able to. Enter your retail code and choose to merge it with your Beta Account, since the armbands are linked to that one.

Why did you enter your own buddy code, btw?

That's exactly what I did.

I entered the buddy code, then it asked to merge with my beta account that had the Armbands, i said yes, it merged it with the beta account, but armbands poofed.

And it's not my buddy code, it's my friends, I'm the buddy. ;P

Does this mean:

If I do this, I won't be able to play until whenever they allow me to recover? A time frame would be sweet. I wont be home for about 10 hours, but if it'll take a few days, are the armbands even worth it?

Some people got that in open beta when they used the hardware mouse fix (modified exe or something cant remember and i didnt use it), they had to put the original file back in to get the patcher to work.

Haven't messed with anything like that. Running the program itself, no windowers or 3rd party anything. First real problem I've had since having to completely uninstall after every update in first alpha.

Yes. Game has been running fine since launch up till this patch.
Also, yes I deleted out old registry files and the my documents ffxiv beta folder.
