So has anyone pinned down the reuse timer on Hermes' Shoes? I remember seeing it posted about 15 min every 24 hours and another post about it lasting longer.

Someone posted a few pages ago a remapping of the keyboard, using numpad keys as camera control keys ( for people used to "compact keyboard" controls in FFXI). It works great!

Actually, using WASD+1235 is much better IMO than WASD+arrows, because the 0 key ( tabbing) and Enter key ( confirm) are right next to 1235, and you dont have to move your right hand a lot.

Problem is that you still have to use arrows to navigate in the menus, or ( and this is super annoying), to switch from one action Line to the other.

Here is a fix with AutoHotKeys: remap shift+1,2,3,5 to arrows ( there was a similar feature in FF11 controls). Writing this in an AHK script will do it:

NumpadClear::NumpadUp
NumpadEnd::NumpadLeft
NumpadPgDn::NumpadRight


If find this absolutely amazing, personally.

Can also add controll+numpad= arrow keys Hotkeys to navigate in macros.

A few things I've noticed regarding Fishing (since the Fisher thread is locked...?).

a) They fixed the skill/exp bonus so you get the appropriate amount on the last catch of your leve.

b) They fixed the misleading dialog for abilities like Dowse so you can tell it's pointing you in the directions of gathering points

c) You no longer get bonus skill/exp from catches during a "Inspect X Promising Fishing Points" leve. Don't waste your Guardian's Aspect on these.

d) My Dowse/Gulleye have no cooldown timer?! Eh? I can spam it repeatedly getting the 30-sec Quickening until I am completely out of an area that has the appropriate Grades.

e) Leve rewards have been altered significantly. Ice Potion and Crow Fly lure have been rewards for Rank~1-10 in the Black Shroud.

f) You will get MPK'd by all the assholes running aggressive shit past you as you fish for a leve.

Interesting stuff. So the "get 3 items" leves are the only ones that give like 700+ per item? Guess that makes sense, since it's possible to get like 3500 skill points or more on the other leves per point.

I started out as a galka marauder and I started with no body armor, and im getting pretty tired of running around in this tiny shirt, Im in Ul'dah and have checked every vendor ive seen and havent found any body armor for a marauder. I even ran to the windurst area and didnt find any, probably missed some vendors tho.

Anyone know of a npc that sells body armor or a quest or something that would finally get me out of this tiny little shirt?

People HAVE organized the market wards. Crammed 100 retainers into the first ward. Spillover into second ward. Rest are empty.

Sometimes it'll show up at the bottom of your crafting options when you make stuff. If you see a little arrow, it means it has shown up.

etc. They aren't always there though.
