Alright thanks for the guide.
Though it is pretty much what we've been doing, except every other guide said click Regimens once to activate it at the end. But we tried clicking it twice also, and we just thought lag affected some timing do it didn't work.

Our problem is the timing of the activation. We'll try again with the double click.

LL is on its own on an island, the ferry connects the island and Thanalan (Ul'dah area), all the way northwest of Thanalan there is The Black Shroud (Gridania area)

From Gridania area : NW is Coerthas / SW is Mor Dhona
Coerthas has a zone line to Mor Dhona but can't remember where
There's a supposed path from Ul'dah to Mor Dhona but it is currently "blocked"

waiting until the time limit is up so you can pick it up again. It counts as a fail if you DC or zone during a leve.





Where is Northern Thanalan? I need to go there for the golden sacrifices quest, but all I see is a "central thanalan". NPC also said he marked my map, but he didn't do shit.

nope. as far as I'm aware, if you fail a leve, it's just the same as completing it.

They need to make Anime replenish faster, or make chocobos accessible. traveling is getting ridiculous, especially if you want to do more than 3 lv10+ battleleves. I'm already down to 40

You fail a leve

Wait until 36h has passed

Then redo the leve

and it doesn't count towards the 8 leve limit?

So I think im missing something else too.

During combat you gain skill points, as well as gaining skill points for killing the mob. Is there a difference in these two? I keep checking my exp gauge after the mid fight points, and it doesnt change, but it does change when I kill the mob, however the mid fight points still arent added. What are these points im getting mid fight? I could have sworn in beta they went to my job rank, but it doesnt seem like they are now.

If you're Lancer, when you hit a mob, there's a chance you will see "your polearm skill increases xxx". Those points aren't added to yourself until the mob is dead.
so if you get
your polearm skill increases 50 points
your polearm skill increases 25 points
your polearm skill increases 25 points
and then you kill the mob, it will say

you gain xxx experience points
you gain 100 polearm points

if you die before you kill the mob, you will get 0 polearm skills.

and it's possible to not get any points for your class at all and just get exp for your level.

think of it like skilling up your weapon in FF11, except you have to kill the mob to keep the points.

The skill points you gain -during- combat get added up until you kill the mobs. The exp gain you see afterwards is the grand total of all the skill you gained during battle. Think of it like Moblin Maze Mongers of FFXI. You gain exp, but it's not gained until you beat the maze.
