Tim Thomas is easily the best goalie in the NHL at this point of the season, I don't even think that's debatable lol. Wondering if he's going to earn his starting job back.

Thomas has been good, but where have I heard the "shot-blocking D/hot goalie" excuse before? Back to back games, what a fucking joke. I'm officially panicking about the Caps. The power play looks like shit without Green, everyone's standing around waiting for Ovie to shoot. Carlson and Alzner have been split up on the pairings and both have looked meh. That's what happens when you get paired with John "I'm a slower Hall Gill" Erskine and Tyler "healthy scratch for Hershey" Sloan. The big question coming in was goaltending, but Neuvirth/Varly have been fine. Forward lines have been pretty good but they can't finish. Mike Knuble might be done. Marcus Johansson on the second line looked really good last night, but once again nothing to show for it. It's bullshit. I want my Big Red Machine back, FFS.

So I went to the Flyers-Ducks game last night and was immediately reminded how much I enjoyed hackey in the playoffs last year. I really need to get back on the wagon once the World Series ends.

My friend's boss gave him the tickets so everything was free, but we were to the right of the neutral zone in Row 2, near the blue line. Tickets were $96 a pop. Almost got a puck that left the ice too, but the guy sitting in front of me grabbed it first.

A fair punishment considering NHL can't properly punish blindside/head shots.

You could have sat your goalies since you've already played two games with them.

Edit: I'm outraged the NHL didn't give Rypien more games. They need to send a clear message that players can't attack fans (possibly children) without facing at least 100 game suspensions. The integrity of the game has really gone downhill since Milbury beat a man with his shoe.
