Just out of curiosity do Sabers fans/media blame Miller for some of these games?

Kesler just got a penalty while on the powerplay... I think his mind snapped after losing the Selke to Datsyuk again, he just said "fuck it" and now he's playing like ass.

Necroquote! Preds are fantastic and easily one of the best expansion teams across all major US sports in recent memory. Barry Trotz, the only coach in franchise history, is awesome and well-regarded by his peers. Weber, Legwand, Hornqvist, Sullivan (back finally), Suter, Rinne / Lindback, etc. are solid. Last year they were ~14 seconds from putting Chicago in a 3-2 hole with game 6 at home. I can see them easily finishing second behind the wings in the central division, maybe first but less likely.

I got NHL Central Ice after moving from Nashville to Charlotte, nice to be able to actually catch their games.

Yeah pretty much just that first goal was on him, the rest were some really terrible defensive plays.

fwiw Nashville definitely got the closest out of all the teams the Hawks faced last spring, though at the same time that Game 5 was most definitely the one moment in the playoffs where the entire city here went "Holy shit, we're going to win the Stanley Cup..."

Took a random look at the standings today and to go with the recent posts about Nashville, they are currently the team with the best record. 5 wins and 3 OTL. Haven't lost a game yet in regulation, kind of impressive even if it is only 8 games in.

In other news, go Flames go. 5 wins in 6 games with a 2/3rds good win against Edmonton tonight. Gotta love Brendan Morrison leading the team in scoring despite being a last minute addition because of a shitton of injuries and Craig Conroy having 2 goals this season when only scoring 3 all of last season haha. He's on pace for 20, but as a 39 yr old 4th (sometimes 3rd) liner, I'll be more than happy if he pots 10..... I'm expecting maybe 5 or 6....
