The Waiver wire thing should be enough no? I put a claim in but cancelled after reading this thread, even if anyone puts a claim in he should still win.

Being waiver wire priority #1 would only work for the first player and then he'd go to #12 immediately in time for the 2nd player to process 15 seconds later.

I'm pretty sure you might get screwed a bit because of your roster size. When you claims players that are injured they don't automatically go to your IR. You may end up going over your waiver picks for this week because you'll have to pick your guys on IR while dropping the guys you got for them. Then move them to IR and then adding the players you had to drop to make room.

In any case the suspension to Briere is a joke

gonna have to disagree with this, mainly because it was a clear shot to the head. Id rather see the refs crack down on this shit before serious injuries happen. just b/c Nielson wasnt unconscious or bleeding doesnt matter, he easily could have been hurt bad by it. but in Danny's defense, there have been more controversial stuff that has happened this year that didn't get a suspension.

the problem is the consistency with this. if a players hits someone else from behind into the boards and the guy gets up in a few seconds, dont just give 2min for boarding. the same play could have resulted in serious time loss (See: Patrice Bergeron)

yes I am denying that. the stereotype derived in the 70's for the broad street bullies has stuck and will stick forever. alot of people translate "not taking shit from people" into "gooning it up".

they are leading their division, 1 point behind the NHL leader in points and are 3rd in the NHL in goals scored. they aren't going to change, so get used to it

Ok, when half of your skaters that is beyond their entry contracts (discounting Giroux, Van Rimsdick, etc) are repeat offenders under the NHL's league policy and you've had like 3 consecutive seasons where your team has put someone out for the season by Christmas with a dirty hit, then something is wrong. Just cause you don't have an incident of rough/dirty play every game doesn't mean your team isn't overall dirty. How many questionable actions do the Panthers have every year? The Stars? The Oilers? 0-1? The Flyers are usually good for 6-8.
