Stephan is the man. All of the forwards outside of White have looked great. Gonna be hard to cut down to roster size.

Rangers do look good in preseason so far. We'll see what happens.

I think the next round of Rangers cuts is tomorrow. I read somewhere that Tortorella wants to have his final roster by Friday's game...which finally...thank the lord...I get to attend!

Even more difficult than the cuts up front (where White has been the only serious no-show) is going to be the blueline... McDonaugh looks ready, Sauer FINALLY is looking like a real Dman, and Valentenko has seemingly come out of nowhere to be really solid...and brings a ton of snarl.

If nothing else, this team is going to be a lot of fun to watch this season!

Edit -- yeah fuck these cuts are going to be difficult...tried making a make-shift lineup, and couldn't. For the forwards I think it's going to come down to Kennedy or Fedetenko...shame too, cause Kennedy has looked really good, and room for development...Fedotenko (who I was ready to hate once he was invited to camp) really has looked solid.

Kadri had a pretty epic night yesterday, bet Burke sends him to the minors. Versteeg was a great pickup. Kolby Armstrong is pretty good. I'm excited because this team will do better than last year, but I just get a feeling it's still not enough for a playoff berth. The minute the leafs are off, they get scored on. Not enough error margin in the team.

And yes the Kovalev v Beauchemin fight was awesome. As was that game 2-0, 2-3, 4-3

In all seriousness Kadri did look good last night but I wonder if it will be enough, although I guess they could keep him up for a few games into the season just to hammer home the point that you can't fuck around if you want to stick in the NHL.
